all monitors, from 2000 to 2010 year, are backlighted with
crude CCFL maps, that last for 2 years (shortest life full time)
the all go bad, ever one , if USED, lots.
they all: endup soon.
1: dim
2: yellow tubes.
3: flicker ands strobe (not the data just the back lamps)
4: dead.
5: totally interminttant.
just like the forecent lamps im garage and for the same reasons.
6: the osd goes dead to when above happens. menu key on monitor front, but not data seen with flash light trick.
learn when 4 happens, above, do this.

Green power light blinks every 3 seconds with the word Xerox on the screen, with just a black screen. Could this be a bad Switching Power supply cord?

open it up... whats the worst that could happen... see if the caps are fine... if they are bloated exchange them... if you need help doing so hit me up at abelino24(at)sbcglobal(.)net... I've repaired like three of these in the past few months.. its always the capacitors. they either get really hot and bloat or don't function if it gets too cold... so the solution if to get the right caps at 470uf / 25v and 220uf / 25v... hopes this helps...
