If u have purchased the it from any
site and u have proof of it then do mail to them that i didn't get
serial number till, they will send u.
If u did not purchased it then free codes serial
numbers,
cracks
keys and are illegal & crime. Fix ya do not allow
this check so it can dangerous for u and also for us. Fix ya can block
both user and expert. i hope u can understand.

Check the Startup folder in the Start menu. If it is there, simply delete the entry there. Otherwise you can use "msconfig" from the Start Run menu to control the startup programs and disable paperport.
Well, you purchased your all-in-one machine some time ago and it didn't include Vista-compatible software. PaperPort is a commercial application, available from it's developer company; it's simplified version was delivered with the printer/scanner as bundled software. As it is not a property of Brother, it cannot be made available for download on their website (as opposed to Brother drivers & utilities), because everyone would be able to download a commercial product without paying for it, that's quite understandable.
I would suggest contacting Brother support (e-mail or hotline) and asking for a Vista-compatible CD for your printer, specifying it's serial number.
