Speakers. Only get sound from one off the three speakers. All wiring seems to be connected properly. Tested speakers by switching with one that works, and they all work. Also large speaker connected properly, but no sound?

Toshiba says:
toshiba_icon_white.pngIf there is no sound from the TV try the following:
  • Ensure the TV isn't muted.
  • Check that the TV speakers have not been manually turned off in the menu settings. Refer to the User's Guide for your specific model TV.
  • Ensure the input for the connected device (DVD / Blu-ray / Cable / Satellite / Game Console) is set properly on the TV. Click here for help with TV inputs.
  • Check that the connected device audio settings are configured send sound through the audio input connected to on the TV. Refer to your device manufacturers instructions.
  • Make sure the connected device does not require a separate audio connection to the TV

No sound

Sounds like a loose connection that has finally failed in the audio out circuit

Zenith inteq iqb50m90w has no sound, hooked up cable box with component cables

To be honest I do not really understand clearly your issue so I will pose a few questions that might clear things for me up:

1. No sound from internal speakers.

2. Speakers have be checked and are not open, disconnected or switched to external or variable audio out only.

3 A DVD or similar connected to a rear video and audio input has no sound.

4. The set had sound when hooked to the bose system.

Do I understand correctly or did I miss something?

If all the above is correct the set has a audio output problem (old trick is put ear directly to a speaker and see if anything, a buzz, faint sound or nothing at all.)

Front pannel wiring configuration for ipex convergence

I did not explain the problem well.the IPEX CONVERGANCE pc has a seperate sound card and speakers attatched to the actual case.In fact,if you were to buy a case only,it usually comes with power supply and the seperate sound card and two small speakers.
I suspect that these were disabled as these pc`s i bought came from an office setup and were disabled so as to reduce unwanted noise etc in the office.
The model number of the IPEX sound card is "MP281102" made by IPEX AUSTRALIA who i believe no longer make pc`s
The card has a few JUMPERS and i need info on this card.
Any help would be appreciated

Suddenly no sound is coming from the tv

Unplug set and or a box if used for a while and plug back to let units reboot.

Look in menu to see if speakers are switched on or off.

Look to see if a DVD etc connected to a rear input has sound or not.

Panasonic pt47x54j service manual

Checked the usual things:

Speakers not switched off in menu for TV (or a box if used)

Volume on set or a box not all the way down?

Sound out in just one speaker--this model the wires from the speakers are fairly tight--they can come undone where connect to the speaker(remove front grill below screen and examine them)

There is no fuse per say for the speakers or audio circuit.

I have a ws-65511, it's been in storage for about 2 years. The picture is working fine but there is no sound. Digital cable box in hooked up properly with audio cables and Pr Pb video cables. Any ideas?

Here is somethings you can do/try.

Turn on tv and make note of any blink sequence on the power LED.

Verify you have no sound on any input.
Turn volume up on tv and determine if you hear any noise whatsoever coming from the speakers, in terms of hiss, hum, faint audio.

If you do here some sound, this points back toward your connection points where rust, or spiderwebs may be preventing good contact with the audio cables.

Depend on how you stored it, you could have had mice get into the tv and chew the wiring. Take the back cover off and inspect all the connections. Follow the wires coming from the speakers to where they plug into the board. Make sure the wires are not damaged

Look at the capacitors on the board and make note of any capacitors that have a buldge to them or the tops are rounded over. This is an indication they are bad.

Sound but no picture!

I would double check the wire connections especially the bridged connectors that connect the A and D boards also see if the wire from the front panel PCB is actually hooked up. Often its easy to get a wire plug mixed up and plugged into the wrong socket or not seated properly.

Speaker Off/On

If I am reading your symptoms correctly, it sounds like you are getting audio to your surround sound receiver, but not your TV speakers? If that is the case, I would be checking for a defective audio output IC and possibly an IC Protector fuse connected to it.
