There is a jumper on motherboard, or you can remove the motherboard coin battery for one minutes.
Both ways to reste bios involve taking apart the laptop to access the motherboard.
You will need to disconnect power adaptor and remove laptop battery before disassembling the laptop.
If you do not have experience in disassembling laptops I suggest to having it done at a repair shop.

How to do i enter bios setup in toshiba 5205-s705

Hold down the F1 key, then, while continuing to hold it down, press the power switch. the system will turn on, then prompt you to check system and press F2 (thats from memory, it maybe F1 again) to enter BIOS.
With many Toshibas you can hold down any key to do this, as it simply generates a keyboard error, prompting the same message.
Hope this info helps.

Remove toshiba password from bios satellite 3000-x4

The Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) password is not set by default on Toshiba laptops. When set, the BIOS password must be entered every time you turn on your Toshiba or wake your system from Standby mode. If you forget the password, you cannot boot your system. Prevent having to enter a password or the results of forgetting the password by removing the BIOS password from your Toshiba laptop. Other types of passwords can be set, such as a Windows password, to prevent unauthorized access to your machine.

1. Turn off your Toshiba laptop.

2. Wait 30 seconds and turn your laptop back on.

3. Press "F2" repeatedly as soon your Toshiba laptop begins booting until the BIOS menu screen appears.

4. Enter your existing BIOS password and press "Enter."

5. Press "F2" again to enter the BIOS, if prompted.

6. Use your arrow keys to select the "Security" tab in the BIOS menu.

7. Use the arrow keys to select "Set User Password."

8. Press either "F5" or "F6," depending on your Toshiba laptop model, to open the Password section.

9. Enter the current password into the "Old Password" prompt and press "Enter."

10. Press "Enter" when the "New Password" prompt appears. Do not enter any text in this box.

11. Press "Enter" again to confirm the new password.

12. Press "F10" to save your changes and exit.

I hope you find it very helpful. Best regards.

Toshiba l300 1bv bios password forgotten

Download and flash your BIOS to the newest version for your make and model. You have four to choose from. There are known issues with Toshiba BIOS's, this is one of them.

http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp#

Hope this helps.
Edit: some notebooks use "Toshiba" or "toshiba" for their password.

Or try this: From Toshiba website http://tinyurl.com/dkoudz

ESC key BIOS Password setting procedure

1. Starting with the computer fully off, turn it on by pressing and releasing the power button. Immediately and repeatedly tap the Esc key, until the message "Check system Then press (F1) key" appears on the screen.

2. Press the F1 key. The BIOS setup program will appear.

3. Using the arrow keys or the tab key, move to the Password field, and highlight NOT REGISTERED.

4. Press the spacebar, and then enter a new password at the "Password = " prompt. Press the Enter key.

5. Enter the password again when the Setup program prompts for it, and press Enter. The Password field will change to REGISTERED.

6. Press the End key and then the Y key to save changes and exit the BIOS Setup program.

F2 key BIOS Password setting procedure

1. Starting with the computer fully off, turn it on by pressing and releasing the power button. Immediately and repeatedly tap the F2 key.

2. The BIOS setup program should appear. If Windows starts, shut down the computer and try step 1 again.

3. Use the arrow keys to move to the Security tab.

4. Use the arrow keys to select "Set User Password". (This 'User Password' is equivalent to what is otherwise called, in this document, a 'BIOS Password'.)

(It may be necessary to set a supervisor password before setting a user password. A Supervisor Password may be thought of as a backup mechanism -- if a User Password is forgotten, the Supervisor Password will allow access to the computer. The next section describes how to set a Supervisor Password.)

5. Press the F5 or the F6 key to navigate to the Password section. Type in a new password at the "Password = " prompt, and then press the Enter key.

6. Enter the password again when the Setup program prompts for it, and press Enter. The password field will now change to indicate that a password has been entered.

7. Optionally, set the Password on Boot feature to 'Enable'. Otherwise the computer may not prompt for the password at startup.
8. Press the F10 key to save changes and exit the BIOS Setup program.

As soon as I turn on the laptop, it says "Password:" and allows me to type in a password three times before it shuts down. I can't find any way to get around this or reset it, can anyone help?

Hi,

You can try to rest the pw in the BIOS - (let me know if you need info on how to do that) if that doesn't work, remove the battery from the motherboard and wait 10 sec. Put the battery back in and power on the computer.

Hi there. There should be a jumper on the motherboard to clear your cmos password. If you have the book for your laptop with info on the motherboard it should show you the location.

Take the jumper off pin 1&2, move it to pins 2&3 for a moment, then put it back. CMOS p/word will be cleared.

Bios

To enter the BIOS, press the Esc key when the Toshiba script shows up on the display. You should then get a message to press the F1 key to continue. Press the F1 key and you should be in the BIOS. The Boot sequence is on Page 2 of the Bios settings on many Toshibas. To get to page 2 press the page down key. Make sure you follow the screen prompts because your system may be slightly different.
