I have a kenwood dnx7120 and it displays parking off when i insert a dvd. how do i remove it?

You will need to contact Kenwood customer service on this, we can't help with the lock out.

My unit has the same issue, started a few weeks ago.

hit setup...then under AV setup...click over to the 3rd screen...and it should give you options for navagtion volume and and options for muting and overiding the sounds comming from the speakers either front left, right or both....

i have the same player in my truck. this is a safty feture of the radio. all yuo have to do is ground the emergency brake wire off the radio. this will by pass the safty for the radio

you can do it on the dnx7100 as well as the dnx7120. I have had both systems. the installer needs to mess with a couple wires. the sales guy you were talking to is trying to up sell you. the only benifit I see in the dnx8120 is its bluetooth ready..

Make sure the face of the radio is completely unobstructed. If anything blocks it, the disc will not eject. Another tip is to take a CD while the door is oped and insert it into the unit part way to "trick" the unit into thinking a disc is being loaded. Then unit may be confused and thinks that no disc is inside the radio. Also, disconnecting constant power for at least 15 seconds will often reset the unit.
