My color laserjet 2025 won't print color

If you print the demo page from the menus is that in color? If it is then it is possible that you have a black and white only printer driver installed or your driver is defaulted to black and white only. It is also possible that you have one color empty which stops color printing but often allows black and white printing to continue.

Black and white prints are not black

Sorry, steve, that you are experiencing this problem.

According to canon.com's website regarding the i9900 InkJet Photo Printer:

Why color ink may be used when printing in black and white Even when printing in black and white, color ink is used for the following reasons:
  1. Automatic cleaning of the print head.

To prevent the print head nozzles from clogging, the print head is automatically cleaned periodically. At that time, a small amount of each color ink is consumed.

Therefore, although printing in black and white is performed, color ink is also consumed.

  2. Color inks may be used to create black.

When printing in grayscale or on photo paper or when duplex printing, although printing appears in black and white, the color black may be created using the three (cyan, magenta, and yellow) color inks. Printers without a pigment black tank / cartridge will print black / grayscale will create a composite black using color ink even on plain paper.

Therefore, although printing in black and white is performed, color ink may be consumed.
  3. In order to keep the heavy black ink from smearing on the page or in the printer, color ink is used when duplex printing to help create black text.

    ---
I might suggest taking out the color ink cartridges leaving only black there, but some printers don't take kindly to this. So, you may have to further experiment with magenta, cyan, and yellow to make it at least seem b&w to your best eye's judgment.

Good luck on this.

Problem with printing black and white photos

Probably what happen is that you are printing black and white but you have your printer on color mode, try to set the printer to grayscale or black and white before print. The printer is tring to get the black and white by mixing all three color, that is the most comon way of make black, so, when one of the color is missing you see those red lines.
Also you will solve the problem replacing the color cartridge.

Can't print photo in black and white

Could this be the problem? From the User Guide: "Print Color images in Black and White -- Print your color images in black and white to save the ink in your color ink cartridge.
NOTE: You cannot select this setting if you have selected Color Cartridge for all Black Printing"

Can i print black and white text only when colour cartridges are empty but black is full on an ip14300?

you can make a selection from the File->Print option of your word processor or whatever package you are using. it is your command that sets the printer to B&W or color. If your Black ink finishes then the printer even if set to color will print black as near black with color inks.

HP 5610 Will not print Color documents, only Black and White

Chances are that your print driver is set to print in black and white while the copier side is automatically detecting that your original is in color. To have the printer print in color: Select file print, select your printer and hit preferences. Select the Paper/Quality tab and switch from Black and White to Color.

Only prints in black and white

before you print go to the print properties or preferences, in there see if you find a setting that says black/white or color. select color then print.

you may or may not have this option. the older HP ink-jets defaulted to Black/white and you had to manualy select color from the current document you where printing.
