I have a DLP rear projection TV that suddenly colors and now yellows oranges, greens greys, no longer bright color defiition? what do you think is the problem

It is not likely to be a cleaning issue but could be either a lamp reaching the end of its life (2,000 hrs/2 years) and the worst possible reason would be a problem with the optical light engine this model uses.

Someone would have to try another lamp and take it from there.

Direct Code Entry
  1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
  4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand

Toshiba 62 inch dlp tv keeps flashing green and will not turn on

green flashing for .3 sec with solid red indicates lamp problem. and do you have the manual? If so, look in the appendix for a section 'LED indications'. that gives you the code for the indications.
Good luck..

Green led indicator light is off on my 62" toshiba

when you turn it off your light blinks because your internal fans are still spinning allowing the inside of the chassis to cool off, hence the reason you dont watch a DLP TV and then unplug it. DLP's are JUNK

Tv went off while watching a program power standby red light blinks 6 times then pauses then repeats tried unplugging unit waiting a few minutes then replugged same results nothing. can anyone help me ?...

Here's an excerpt from the Sony Manual online. And the link - http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/webtree.pl?template=EN&mdl=KDF55XS955&content_id=68&category_id=11&problem_id=52

The POWER/STANDBY (red) indicator flashes three times
If your power/standby indicator is flashing in a pattern of three flashes, this may indicates that the lamp cover is not attached securely. Follow the directions in the Operating Manual under changing your lamp that related to closing and securing the Lamp Cover. Ensure that the Lamp Cover Door is securely fastened by tightening each screw.

The POWER/STANDBY (red) indicator flashes continously
If your power/standby indicator is flashing continuously, and the lamp cover has been secured, your TV may be in need of service.

The POWER/STANDBY indicator is lit up green (not flashing)
A sustained green light indicates your TV is on.

The POWER/STANDBY indicator is lit up red (not flashing)
A sustained red light from your power/standby indicator simply indicates that your TV is in standby mode. This shows you that your TV is ready to be turned on with the remote.

Is it the power light and not the lamp light? If the lamp light is flashing then replace the lamp.

I have a Toshiba DLP Tv 44HM85. It turns on but

the great news is you can do it. and its easy; even if you have to rebuild your lamp. If you can change a automobile headlight you will think its easier. bulbstock.com has your bulb for 125 bucks. here is your lamp part number 72782309

This could possibly be your Ballast ( lamp's powersupply ) that is faulty.

It will either need repair or replacement.
