Clean it with a damp cloth, especially aroung the edges. If this does not help, you may need it serviced.

1.Press the Windows logo key + X.
2.Select Device Manager from the list.
3.Click the little arrow next to Human Interface Devices to expand the list.
4.Click the touch screen driver (in my case, NextWindow Voltron Touch Screen).
5.Right-click, and select Disable from the list.
6.Click Yes on the dialog box that asks if you are sure you want to disable the touch screen driver.
7.Restart your computer
When you want your touch screen to work again, follow the process above, EXCEPT when right-clicking the touch screen driver, select Enable

Verify the driver is installed for the touch screen. Go into the device manager to verify the driver.

WE HAVE A SEIMENS TOUCH PANEL THAT RUNS OUR IPS BAILER THE TOUCH SCREEN KEEPS FREEZING AND WILL NOT RESPOND TO TOUCH OR BY RESETING THE CPU

Touch screens rely on drivers. Re-install the drivers.
If this does not work the screen probably needs to be replaced. The screen image does not reflect the state of the capacitance resistance touch function.

Touch screen not working on my gateway zx6900,is there a setting im missing.it used to.work fine.now not at all.

Try to look for a service that is makes the touch screen work. Press the Windows Key + R. then type services.msc. This should open up the services utility. Look for a service that says touch screen, or on screen. Try to enable it or start the service. That should make it work.

Touch screen

Try swapping out the touch screens. It may be that they used different makes of touch screen in these models, and the board and screen are matched. This is the case with many laptop manufacturers. They use different screens in the same models, a cheapest bidder type thing I believe, so, if you switch boards, you have to switch screens or video cards in order to get them to work. Speaking of video cards, does this board have a removable video card or integrated. If it's removable, then you might swap them out if the screen change doesn't work. Try this and let me know.

Broken Elo Monitor Screen

Touch screens are even more expensive that straight LCD panels. This repair may cost more than the original monitor. Why do you need another panel? Is the panel cracked or is the touch screen portion not working correctly?
