The header connections that you are looking for are on the edge of the motherboard near the battery. Look for a group of gold contacts sticking straight up at you. The silkscreen tells you which header are for what light or switch. You will see one that says "PWR LED". Another says "PWR SW" Another says "HDD LED". They are printed very small. You will see others in that vicinity that say "SAST1" and "SPKR". Ignore them.Look along the edge where the battery is mounted some are located around the nearby corner but still along the edge. All should be on the edge nearst the front of your machine. Others may be along the edge facing the bottom of your machine.

Under the grn/wht wire is written "PWR LED". Under the red/wht wire is written "PWR SW". Under the blk/wht wire is written "HDD LED". Yours should be similar.

Motherboard User Manual For SiS965L?

SiS965L is a chipset designation, not a motherboard model number. That said, most motherboards do label the header pins for the front panel connections on the motherboard, though they are a bit small and sometimes are not adjacent to the pins themselves. The Power Switch and Reset Switch pins are not polarized, and when you determine which they are, the connector plug can be installed on them either way. The Power LED and HDD LEDs ARE polarized. The positive pin is marked with a "+" sign and the Green wore of the Power LED and the Red wire of the HDD LED must be on the "+" terminal.

When you have messed up wiring your motherboard..

it is easy...

remember this your motherboard is like a children play house red for red, square for square.. if it is not compatible for the socket it will never be placed well..

you need to connect the following..

first your main power supply to your motherboard

it is very easy to see.. it is a group of maybe 16 wires in a plastic connector..you will connect it to your motherboard..

your processor power is a four wired in plastic connector but it is square in shape..

note: take a good look in each connector they have squares cirlce, etc shapes in each wires so don't force it to connect if it is hard to it means it is not for that socket..

this is the turning point..

your power button, reset button, pw LED, HDD LED,

maybe you know where it is placed,
but note the sequence.. pw button, reset, pw led,hdd led,

if not you can try to short the pins of *********** board so that you will know where the power button will be placed...

your usb and internal speaker has their own pins....

note: take a good look to your motherboard before you connect it, it may cause you some trouble..

take a look at the + ,- signs that is encrypted in the motherboard...

you have to the red wire is fore the posite and the black is negative..

i know it is compose of four wires but they are in one socket right...

your hdd connect it i know you know that how..

that's all..

Where do i put the hdd pwr, led pwr and the power swich on the motherboard

you have to consult the motherboards manual and look under "wiring-diagrams", if its a used motherboard there should be a product number on the motherboard itself and you could search on the net through another computer for the pdf.manual or "tech-specs" of that paticular motherboard, the manufacturers website should have all that info

I need a diagram of how to set up power led a and power hdd set up with motherboard pins

It should be in the Instruction guide of your motherboard.
If not take out the board and look closly till you find "PWR LED" (Under where the RAM is placed)
I build computers for a living, so I kind of used to just inserting it straight away.

Need wiring diagram for eMachine 20030812 motherboard!!!

You should be able to see the words/letters that go with the jumpers on the motherboard itself. look around the jumper settings area for power, pwr etc. and match them up with your jumpers which should have what the go to on them.
