Question about Xerox Phaser 6100/BD Laser Printer
I am trying to print and all the colors are quite lousy.
Black is better than others but is also weak.
There is no notification or warning about the "toner low" situation. Moreover, the configuration page states that the toner life is normal (24 to 40% remaining, 2 or 3K).
The printer is not a new one, I bought it around 3 years ago, and printed a lot, so I suspected problem with the toner - but all the four reached their end simultaneously... sounds strange.
Any idea? What should I check?
Thanks in advance,
Go to Xerox.com and look up the knowledge base for your printer under their support section. There are several options. I would start by cleaning the ctd sensor and calibrating the colors. You could also have a worn out imaging unit or transfer belt. There are complete instructions on their website.
