No fuses in a camera. Check the battery first to determine if it is fully charged. THen check the contact points on the battery and in the camera. ALSO....be sure you are putting the battery in correctly.

Busy with hand icon

The rear circuit board lower right screw comes out on these and shorts out various parts of the circuits. Sometimes you can just put it back, sometimes it requires circuit replacement.

Cant download photo too my laptop

Latinlord_17,
Are you sure the camera is on and charged while it is connected to the computer?
If not, you may need to charge the device via a power adapter to ensure a better experience.
If the camera is charged, I will provide two sets of instruction, one for Mac OS X and the other for Windows.
Windows:
  1. Take the USB cable that came with your camera and plug it into the correct ports on both the camera and computer.
  2. Windows should detect the camera and launch "Windows Photo and Fax Viewer" wizard, and ask you what the default action should be when you connect the camera.
  3. Upon clicking NEXT, you should then see your photos loading up on the screen, scroll down to the button that says Import All
  4. When the download is complete, your pictures should be inside the My Pictures folder in Documents
Mac OS X:
  1. Take the USB cable that came with your camera and plug it into the correct ports on both the camera and computer.
  2. OS X should detect the camera, and prompt to launch the iPhoto application
  3. Inside iPhoto, you should then be able to see a camera icon with your camera's name on the left-hand bar. Click on this icon.
  4. Upon seeing your photos, on the right hand portion of the screen, you should see a button that says Import Pictures.
  5. After the download is complete, the pictures are stored inside iPhoto and can be viewed in the Events portion of the application.
Hope this helps.

Received JV100 as gift. I'm trying to copy manual CD into my MAC/OS 10.8 laptop. How do I do it?

Part of the problem might be that the latest Mac laptop is Snow Leopard 10.6. You must have a laptop from the future!! :) Just kidding!. When you insert the cd, it should appear as an icon on your screen. You can right-click and choose "copy" and pick your desktop as the destination. That way, it's handy for reference.

The camera wont swich on and dont know how.

Hi,

Here is a quick start manual.

http://pdf.crse.com/manuals/2590636111.pdf

It uses 2 R6 (AA) batteries.

You insert two batteries in the base, turn the dial on the top to the [camera] icon then switch on using the [power] button.

Hope this helps.

Computer wont recognize camera to upload pictures

Dear Mv1310,
Here are the few things that you might want to check.
1) When you connect your camera to the USB of your computer and switch on the camera ... Does your computer recognize that an USB device has been attached to it? It would generally show a balloon on right hand side bottom corner in windows OS and would show a green arrow icon in the system trey when the device is ready to use. Do you see any new drive letter in "My computer"?
If you Do Not .. then

Right click on "My computer" --> Properties --> Hardware tab --> Device manager button .. Under the USB devices do you see any Red "X" or "!" marks?
Right click and un-install the devices with Red X or "!" marks.
Then disconnect the camera and then reconnect the camera back to the computer and this time the computer should recognize and reinstall the camera and this time it should work fine.

If not then please let me know if the computer recognizes any other USB devices like printer and modem ...

Please let me know the above and I would be glad to assist you ahead..

Regards,
Srinivas.

Hi, I have a Dimage 7i camera and I'm very new to it. Been taking pictures no problems but all of a sudden no matter how long I hold the shutter button a picture will not take. There is a hand icon in the...

as you already know the shutter button has two parts or clicks to it. the first click will allow the lens to autofocus and automatically select the right exposure, and/or calculate shutter time for the picture. when you see the hand signal, it means that the camera calculated that the shutter will stay open longer then usual to take the picture. so if you move while you take the picture it my come out blurry. all that happends during the first click, which means that your shutter button isn't making contact with the second click. it should be an easy fix at any camera shop. if its still under warranty the manufacturer should have no problem fixing that.

Camera still will not turn on

i think you need to look at an icon at the lower right corner of the computer...once you plug a device, the computer would recognize it and keep it in mind so the procedure is always click that icon that would tell you to " you can now safely remove your hardware"

you remove the camera from the system without hitting that safely remove hardware icon .

that could have damaged the OS of the camera.

what i am suggesting is for you to plug it back and work at the computer and see if it can still recognize your camera.

if it can not , then serious problem with camera OS.

good luck on your camera,

drcool

Flashing icon

Low shutter speed icon means that when you take photo the image will be blurry if camera moved.

Is there this icon when flashlight is turned on?
