First try to reset by unplugging set from power source for a few minutes. Then if that doesn't work, go into the menu and turn the color all the way down. If it is still green, you can look inside to see which tubes are glowing. Also you can adjust the screens to see if tubes are getting current. Good luck, Russmann.

The Green CRT has shorted and will need replacement. You can verify the problem by removing the Green CRT drive board from the green CRT dont unplug the wires just slide the board off and let it hang suspended then try powering up the set if it stays on without shutting down then you will no its the green CRT for sure. You can get a green CRT from www.tvrepairworld.com

After turning on the screen it soon turns a green tint. I just transported the tv could I have knocked something out of alignment?

yes or the green tube is going bad. if it holds solid just a little green, you just need to turn down the screen control for the green drive. if it gets brighter and brighter green until its really intense, suspect bad tube or board.

the green drive knob is hidden in the front, behind the front access panel. its labeled but hard to see, only turn the one know counter clockwise, it will be labeled G and SCREEN, there are 6 knobs

Tv won't turn on. It blinks green then red.

Hi,
Question shows tv is Sony KDF-60WF655.
Green light blinks when tv gets prepare to fire up lamp, check internal circuits then show picture on front screen.
Red light blinking shows some kind of internal problem during circuit check and protection got activated upon some failure.
Count the red light blink as you will see 3 second long pause and post it here to diagnose what section of tv got problem.
Did you replaced its lamp in last 2-3 years?
Thanks.

I have a 51HW40 sony TV. A few problems green horizontal retrace that curves flashes green and turns off (about 2 times a month) I wait turn it back on and its fine Codes that have been tripped: 6: Low b ...

Hello: Have you tried to adjust you Green Screen control on the focus block assembly. located behind the front panel assembly. Here is a solution that might help you, turn off the green by turning off this control, make sure u look at the block and make sure you are not turning the green focus knob instead of scrn crl. Turning the control slowly to the left the retrace lines should disappear as the green video darkens. Then turn the control slowly to the right just until the retrace lines reappear, then turn back slowly left just until the lines go away. If the screen is Blanking on green tube only then you have a video blanking problem on the main signal board. Or possibly a IK bias problem. It is also possible that the green CRT is defective. The FBT is not bad because the screens are lighting up indicating you have high voltageand heater voltage which is derived from one of the secondary windings of the FB. If it is a Blanking problem i would look into replacing the A Board assembly.

Green flashes then tv turns off

or a new lamp. you could first replace the lamp.
the screen might work fine for a couple of seconds, but then it fades away or deteriorates. This means the lamp is going bad.

Lines horizonal - seems to be caused by voltage to green CRT

Your green CRT is shorted. To test put your red crt socket on the green and your red on the green. then try turning up red control if the green now works its not your tube. If the same thing happens with the red socket on the green you can be sure its the green CRT if the green works properly with the red socket, then you have a problem in the green drive circuit and not the CRT. hope this helps.
