Hi I assume by "Appleworks wp" you mean "Pages" - have you tried opening it from within the software? By first starting the application and then via the "file" menu select "Open..."? Hope this helps
Either find it by start --> search and enter the name you called the presentation. Or by start --> My recent documents Or by opening PowerPoint and go to file and look for recent doc in the file menu.
Appleworks is now a discontinued product and has been replaced by iWork. Its best if you start to learn how to use iWork instead since applework documents will have very limited compatibility.
Commands displayed in the start menu that have arrows on the right
indicate that a submenu is available for a command. A submenu is a
second-level menu.
Ex. "My Recent Documents" usually will
have an arrow to the right of it. When you access your recent
documents, you are actually accessing a submenu.
Have you tried repairing disk permissions? Go to the Utility folder in Applications and start up Disk Utility. Click on the second icon at the top left, then click on Repair Permissions. Repair Disk at the bottom far right will be grayed out.
If that does not correct the problem:
Quit AppleWorks. Go to your user/Documents folder, and remove the AppleWorks User Data folder, put it in the trash, and empty the trash. Do the same to your user/Library/Preferences/Appleworks folder Do the same to the com.apple.appleworks.plist logout and log back in as the same user. (not really necessary but I like an almost fresh start) Open Appleworks, and make a NEW document and try to save it. Open an existing document and try to save it.
