There are 6 holes on the underside of the shredder, corresponding to 6 screws that have to be unscrewed. One of the 6 has a gray round QC seal over it which you must break in order to access that last screw (in the center of the unit). The idea is that if you have broken this seal, then you've voided your warranty.

Major jam auto feed embassy elite lf900 motor runs paper does not move

Check for Overload:
Ensure that you haven't exceeded the shredder's maximum capacity. Overloading the shredder can lead to jams.
Feed the paper in a steady and consistent manner, avoiding sudden force or crumpled sheets.

Switch to Reverse Mode:
If a jam occurs, switch the shredder to reverse mode. This will help dislodge any stuck paper.
Gently remove the jammed paper from the feed slot.
Inspect the Feeding Entry:
Make sure the feeding entry of the shredder is not blocked or jammed.
If there's any debris or paper stuck, carefully remove it.

Check the Cutting Blades and Gears:
The gears driving the cutting blades may be stripped or worn out.
If you suspect this, consider contacting technical support for assistance.

The motor will hum when you put the paper to the blades but it will not shredd because the blades do not turn.

Blades need to be cleaned and oiled Unplug and check to make sure there are no staples or something caught in the gear edge in the corners You should be able to turn it by hand If not the gears inside probably slipped out of place or got busted from somebody trying to shred too much at once

Manual for staples SPL-616x

My staples shredder model spl-616x would not turn on because I had set it in the receptacle backwards. The sensor was not engaged by the small protrusion of plastic inside one end of the receptacle. So simple, I wanted to share. Happy me!

My staples spl-616x shredder will not turn on at all

Unfortunately, not a solution. I have the same problem and am looking for advice. I removed the bottom and verified the switch works, which it does. No lights go on when it is turned on. When it is in reverse, I can push a small lever on the bottom and it runs. Maybe I can feed the papers from the bottom. The lever on the bottom is a small raised black support with a tan bar inside which is what I press to get it to run. It does nothing in forward. Any advice is appreciated.

Each time I use my staples SPL-616X shredder all the paper gets stuck around the blades what can I do? Do I need to put some oil on the blades?

Yes you do need to oil the blades, but it is important to get the right oil. Most stores that sell shredders, like Staples Office Supply, also sell shredder oil. J.
