If you sign on to your Paypal account, it is a simple procedure to add your new visa card and to then be able to make purchases with it.

You would be better off putting your bank card on.
A Visa card will cost you for every transaction where as a bank card will not its a direct debit from your Bank Account.

You should contact the Visa Card Bank and find out any costs of transactions first.
Have the credit card you want to add to your PayPal account readily available.
You can also add any debit card that has a Visa or Mastercard logo on it.


Log in to your PayPal account using your email address and password. This will bring you to the "My Account Overview" page.

Click the "Edit Profile" link, located next to your name and email address under the page title. This will bring you to the "Profile Summary" page.
Look at the three columns on the summary page and find the hyperlink that says "Credit/Debit Cards" in the "Financial Information" column.

Remove any credit or debit cards that you no longer wish to have attached to your account by clicking on the circle next to the description of the card and then hitting the remove button.
Find the "Add New Card" icon, located near your credit or debit card information. Click the button and fill in all the requested information, making sure that the billing information is correct.

If the billing information is different than that of the cards you already have on your PayPal account, be certain to use the "Enter New Address as Billing Address" button.
Hit the "Add Card" button.
You will be redirected to the "Credit/Debit Cards" page, at which time you can make the new card your primary source of funding or just leave it as a secondary card.

if you are paying through your visa card it will cost more they might want you to pay through your normal bank account which will cost no more

log onto your paypal account under profile you will see your credit/bank cards there you will see a list

I would sign into PayPal, close the card account and tell them why then as you already have done tell your bank. If the spam is comming from one site, tell the police fraud squad and bar that address from your account.
The police will advise further if needs be.

One or closing account reasons is name change.
You an't use any bank or credit card on another paypal before you close this one

You can add new bank/visa to your paypal
But once you add it then it can't be added to another new account even if removed from old paypal. unless old paypal is closed.
