Don't use "heavy duty" batteries - they're not for high current digital cameras. Use only alkaline or rechargeable, and charge for at least 15 hours before use - even if your charger says it's fully charged. If this doesn't take care of the problem, the camera needs to go in for repair. Please leave feedback if this helps.
