CD wont eject from the unit , have tried turning the power on and off and even holding down the eject button. The unit makes a terrible sound when trying to eject. The stuck CD still works.

Sounds like the eject motor or cog is broken. Send it in to nintendo for repair.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Wii console unable to read Game cds

shake the unit with no cd in if it rattles then there is a cd stuck, you could try taking apart but its not easy you have to take off hidden screw caps & unclip panels using an old credit card so as not to dent the plastic, plus there is allways one or two screws hiding !
hope this helps !

Hi my wii will not turn on but I have a game disc inside. How do I remove the disc without power? Is there a manual eject?

since the Wii has an optical drive, what you need to do is to insert a straightened paper clip into a tiny hole that is located on the front of the drive, typically right next to the eject switch. Once you’ve inserted the clip, the stuck CD should be easily ejected.

I can't my Disc to eject from my Wii Console. Does anyone have a solution to this problem, other than taking it in for service?

Try all of these steps:
1. Turn the Wii off and on again after about 20 seconds. Press the eject button again. If no help:
2. Unplug the Wii's AC power supply if Step 1 doesn't work. Wait 1 to 2 minutes, and trying to eject the disc again after turning the Wii back on. If no help: 3. Hold down the eject button for 5 to 10 seconds. Still not: 4. Try ejecting the disc with the Wii at different angles. If you hold the Wii upside down, it may help the disc fall out. if no help: 5. See if power light was coming on and do the AC adapter reset. unplug from both ends for 90 seconds.Hold eject button for 5-10 seconds Finally: Call Nintendo 1-800-255-3700 and send the Wii back if non of these steps work. In most cases, a disc stuck in the Wii should be covered by warranty. Good Luck

Wii help!

we got it to work eventually by using a pin (ie a dressmakers pin). We realised the eject button wasn't clicking when pushed down, so was physically stuck, so used pin to pop the left hand side of the eject button out/up. Works a treat now.

Cd stuck

Well, Recently the same thing happened to me, My bro dropped my WII on the floor and the eject button on it got stuck i was soo mad!!!
I tried loads of ways nothing really hard, just follow this and hope fully the WII will eject:

1.Make sure the WII is stood up properly.
2.Then switch on the WII (As i said early the WII won't eject the CD.
3.Now look near the eject button if it is stuck follow (A) or if not coming out follow (B).
(A1).Right if it is stuck and not coming out then the top bendy bit of the eject button put your nail through it and press it down it should eject but after a while it did not work any more for me :(.
(A2).Now, Disconnect all the Cable's in the WII not TV leave it for a while (and don't smash it again!), After a while approx 5 Min's plug 'em back in, switch on the WII then press eject hopefully that will work :D.
(B1).Now if it does not come out either look inside the drive or WII (I don't suggest that) or just do what i did with A2 hopefully that will work.

Hope your WII works by now and enjoy ejecting cd's from your WII but 1 more thing before you go (DON'T BREAK YOUR WII AGAIN OR YOU WILL HAVE TO DO THIS ALL OVER AGAIN :P AND IT MIGHT NOT EVEN WORK IF SMASH IT TO MANY TIMES!!! SO BE-CAREFUL!!!!

Wii--Sticker stuck in cd slot

If you are technically inclined you can take apart the entire unit and remove the cd player portion. Once you remove the drive itself you need can carefully take it apart and remove the sticker. But keep in mind you'll void the entire warranty if you do this and you'll pretty much be flying solo because there isn't a lot of documentation on the internet yet about working on the WII. My recommendation would be to take the system into hollywood video and demand to speak with a manager, explain to them the issue and if they don't assist you call their corporate office. The damage is their fault, they need to take care of it.
