When i make a phone call, i can only hear the other person if i use bluetooth or loudspeaker. When i turn loudspeaker option off, i can't hear any connection sounds at all on the line. This has only happened since the weekend. I have had the phone since April 08.

Maybe you have your phone on mute, to where you can hear them but they can't hear you? Next time you make a call, tell that person to hold on and if they can't hear you, look through the option menus you can access only when you're in the middle of a call. Otherwise, contact the phone company and gripe.

When making outgoing calls I can hear the person on the other end but they are unble to hear me. I have a Nokia 6120 Classic.

first if your phone have a voice recording option check that your **** is working properly or not by recording any voice for 5 to 7 secs. If it is probable that mic is working properly say you listen the recorded voice than you might have muted the voce increae it by side bottons if present or from phone's sound settings

Garmin 765T No sound for bluetooth phone

If you press the phone icon on the gps immediately after dialing or when a call comes in, and bring up the phone options screen, you can then transfer voice to the phone, then immediately re-transfer the voice back to the device.
The voice will come alive. It's hokey and cumbersome, but it works.

Is on mute setting can only get calls on loudspeaker even though mute is off I cannot hear people speaking however they can hear me

Try using a bluetooth device, if it works, you have a hardware problem, meaning that you need to technician so they can take it apart and replace the speaker.

I have same problem, I bought this phone 6 month ago.

You will need to re-pair your phone with the earpiece. The best option is to contact your local cellular rep and get them to assist or go to the store where you purchased the earpiece.

Blackberry Pearl Sound

Assuming you have the audio volume turned up, do you have a bluetooth headset? Check the Bluetooth options to make sure there are no associated bluetooth devices (or just turn bluetooth off).

If that still doesn't work, try clicking the trackwheel and seeing if it says "Mute" or "Unmute" respectively.

If you still can't hear the callers voice, you may have a defective earpiece in the phone and it's time for repair. If you don't have a bluetooth headset, you can try to use one of those to hold a conversation. I have my bluetooth headset around my neck at all times, I can't stand talking without it. As an added bonus, people who can't see my earpiece in my ear thinks I'm talking to myself.
