i have a problem with my new GFX Card. Before posting here I try all i find here in troubleshooting section:
first i do a bios update to latest version; then i start play around with all choices of: * enable onbord // enable only if no external * first gfx boot device PCI // PCIx // Onboad
in the bios i try all 6 prospects but nothing will display a screen on my new card. when i start the pc (gfx-fan and hdd powerup..) with no display, after ~1 sec its like a reset or detection. this loops 5 times then it fall back to onboard card. also there is no beepcode or somthing else. also i test my new card @ friend pc - works fine.
what i can do now? is this gfx not supported??

Yes provided the expansion slot on the motherboard can fit this graphics card. If your motherboard has a built-in graphics chip then you most likely need to disable the on-board graphics before installing this graphics card and driver..
I'm not sure I follow all of waht you are doing and /or did however, this card requires a minimum 400w power supply so, make sure you have the power. It may or may not be a factor. These cards can be tricky sometimes and I will start by saying, the install should have gone in this order: Install the card, boot your system and insert your CD. Start by downloading all drivers and "utilities" from CD. You will not get all the bells and whistles taht come with the card unless you get them from the CD or, possibly from Sapphire, and reboot. Check in "programs and features" and device manager to make sure you see your device. Once you have done this, you can then upgarde your drivers from respective sites, AMD, Sapphire, etc. You definately have to unisatall all prior software that has anything to do with ATI/AMD prior to installing new software. You can do a custom uninstall and install here. At his point, I would go into "programs and features" and unistall all ATI/AMD software and start over. Any software from existing cards as well. You also need to reboot after each unistall or install. Where are you getting this 1250 from? Is it from the CD? This is alot to swallow and if I am missing something let me know. I can help you with the upgrade of the VGA driver nut, lets see if this works and, taht I am on the right track. Contact me at "add a comment". Dave
