Question about Foxconn K7S741GXMG-6L Motherboard

Foxconn K7S741GXMG-6L Integrated Input/Output Port Activation

G'Day,

I have a Foxconn K7S741GXMG-6L Motherboard and although two USB ports are working for mouse/KB and/or printer the other two USB connectors and the RJ45 connection don't seem to work.

How do i activate these additional ports? I am trying to connect my box directly to a external wireless modem by cat-5 cable as i don't have a internal ethernet/LAN card. The wireless installation CD doesn't recognise the ethernet connection either?

Any help is appreciated.

I have same problem on my motherboard and it is due to damage, check and see if your RJ45 (lan) is disabled in the system bios.then see if you are not drawing more than 500ma on the usb. good luck!

FoxConn 661MO3-G-6EL is suuposed to have 2 1394 Firewire ports installed, 1 in the rear panel and 1 accessible on the board from a front bus connector, but mine seems to be msssing these, whcih does not...

Return the motherboard to the place where you bought it, and have them explain the differences that you have observed.

Are there any wires running from the FireWire port on the front of your computer's case to any connector on your motherboard?

AMD 2800+ is 333MHZ while
AMD DURON 120MHZ is just 200 MHZ

It means that the board supports 333MHZ not 200MHZ.
Well it's not compatible...

Post issue

I can't get Foxconn's website to pull up ATM, but I had this sort of issue once before, and felt completely stupid once I figured it out, and this is going to sound strange, but, remove your CPU fan and try to power up. If it does power up, then your CPU Fan is shorting out the system. If that doesn't fix it, then it is possible that your processor is not supported by the motherboard.

Hope this helps!

maybe the problem isn't in the sound cards or buil-in sound cards, i'm sure it's the speaker your are using, it may have some power leakage or something of that sort... check your electric "ground" connection too.
