First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.

press the windows key and the R key at the same time. type 'eventvwr' no quotes and click on system on the left. then scroll down to the approximate time and date it happened. look for a red exclamation. it should tell you a different error that we can look up. it should say something at the top of the screen like 'kernel in page error' or something like that. once you get that you can troubleshoot easier.

A scratched cd/dvd can have errors causing the install to fail. Use a clean cd/dvd install disc to fix it.

If you are trying to install directly from the hard drive then a malware infection could have corrupted or damaged that part of your hard drive. Install windows from the cd/dvd disc for your computer.

The problem is caused by a damaged Windows installation CD.
There are some files that cannot be read from CD, so Windows gets stuck.
It tries to restart to continue with installation, and keeps doing this on an endless loop.

Solution:
Get a goos Windows Installation CD and start from scratch, (format and load the new copy of Windows)

Don't worry about the message. If you think the operating system has been damaged next time you turn the laptop on repeatedly press F8 to get you into the advanced boot menu and select "Last known good configuration".

Your windows installation CD might have become corrupt. Use a fresh CD and enter into BIOS settings to set Default Settings before installation.

This issue could be dude to a number of things, Probably the best thing to do would be to either start in safe mode, and see if there is an application that is causing the error, Or reinstalling the operating system from the windows CD.
