I occasionally have the same problem. Sometimes the reset hole works sometimes not. Sometimes recharging overnight works sometimes not. I cannot find a reliable procedure to bring my Samsung YP-K3 back to life.

I suspect the internal battery is faulty.

I've two simple solutions!!!

1. It's like what everyone says, you push the Reset button on the back and plug it in again. Did not work for me though. :(

2. I used this solution instead, I went to Control Panel > Performance & Maintenance > System Open the drives tab and and looked up the mp3's drive. I saw there was a yellow exclamation mark. I then right clicked on that drive and updated it. Voila, it updated the MTP, and DONE! MAGIC! ;D

I hope it works for everyone, good luck!

Simalar problem to all above plus PC would not recognise the unit when connected. Solved however by going into Device Manager on PC, uninstalling it and then plugging back into PC. As it is all plug and play it took it as a new device and everything working perfectly again.

My Samsung YP-Z5 would come on when it was plugged into the USB port but would not come on when it was not attached to the computer. I accidently hit the OFF button and the ON button AT THE SAME TIME. To my amazement it came right on. I have used this method many times and it works everytime. I cannot explain why it works but if it will turn it back on who cares. Beats throwing the MP3 player away.

The reason is probably due to a short cicuit.when the power is cut off or put back on there is usally a surge in power small enough to go through the computer but it was big enough to cause the short circuit on the mp3. unfortunatley this means your mp3 is gone and will not work. you could try the guarentee

I have an MP3 player by Dell and it won't charge. I don't have the original power cable so I use a USB cable.

Some personal players charged via usb connection take a certain charge and some are even set to not recognize or to prompt you when you use an alternative source that does not fit the specific charge. You should buy the proper cable or an aftermarket one that specifies compatibility with your specific player. This is only a troubleshooting method as the player may have something wrong with it and may need to be fixed. Please repost when you try a compatible cable and the community can help you further.

Its not starting

Plug the drive into a computer and see if it is recognized and charges.
If so wait for it to charge and then:
1. Unplug the drive. 2. Remove the back casing 3. Remove the battery 4. Wait 15 seconds 5. Replace the battery and casing and press the power button.
If the computer does not recognize the MP3 player its days are probably over. If it does not charge the battery is likely broken.

Hey my ipod touch all of a sudden stopped charging. ive left it like that for awhile and now it wont even turn on HELP!

You will need to plug it into the computer. After you plug it in make sure it recognizes it. If it doesnt then hate to tell you, but it crashed on you. If it does recognize it then your good. Leave it connected to the PC to charge. when it is fully charged, RESTORE IT. ITS A MUST. and then plug it back in and it will be fine

Recharging mp3

Whenever the PD-6070 is connected to a PC, it will charge. The battery indicator on the OLED screen will slowly fill over and over as it is charging. When the charging is complete, the battery indicator will stay filled.

Mp3 Player Won't Charge

wiggle your usb cord - I had to wiggle mine a bit where it plugs into the usb port in the computer before it was recognized and listed as a device in 'my computer'. only then did it actually start charging; if your computer is not recognizing it is plugged in, it may not charge.. when i finally figured this out, the actual charging of my 4 gig audiophase mps only took 10 minutes- previously i was trying to charge it for hours without any luck.
