plug in ipod. In summary menu select MANUALLY MANAGE MUSIC. This will prevent erasing of music when u attach ipod to a different PC from the one u first used

Hey dosi5,
Based on the information you provided, it sounds as if you may have performed a full restore on your iPod, returning it to its original factory specifications and settings. Generally this may only be done by accessing your iPod through iTunes and clicking on the "Restore" button, but you should have been presented with a warning of some kind and a number of restore options before doing so. Without knowing the exact iPod model you use however, I would not be able to provide you with specifics regarding the restore process. Just in case though, I've provided a link to Apple's walkthrough for the Classic model below.

You'll need to click on the "Restore" tab to view the walkthrough, or the "Troubleshoot other iPods" link on the left-hand side of the page for instructions for other models.
Unfortunately, once a system restore has been completed you'll need to sync your iPod with your iTunes library in order to reload your music files.
