If you purchased the Performance Replacement Plan, you should be able to contact 1-888-BestBuy and have the Consumer Relations department obtain your receipt. With this, you can be transferred to the PRP department and you should be able to obtain a return box for this unit so you can get a voucher to purchase a new unit, or perhaps exchange in store.

Sorry to hear your PS3 is down, I know this is a stressul problem. I tell you, inr the best interest for everyone, you should contact Sony support on this problem. You can reach Support at 1 800 345-7669 (SONY) and arrange a return to them for repair. They are very good and have done service for me in the past. You should expect to get your PS3 back from them in under 20 days from the date you send it to them. The Postage with insurance is high at $37.50 including $500 insurance.
There is not kind of Quick fix on the Blue ray Disc drive unless you find the Pin hole that manually ejects the disc. .
