I have a Philips Freevents Laptop, vairus attack removed the bluetooth directory and duplicated this and now it is not working and there is no video capture for the webcam attached to the monitor.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

First of all double check all volume settings for your laptop, they are all up and not muted. If those settings are correct the next step would be to re-install your sound device driver. You should be able to download from your manufacturers website. Please advise whether you are successful, I may be able to offer further advise.
The Philips Freevents 12nb5800 is actually a Twinhead J12S The XP drivers are hard to find but they are on the Twinhead Austrailia website here; http://www.twinhead.com.au/downloads.asp?MainCategory=J12S I installed the intel VGA driver from this which allowed we to use two screens.
The X60 is actually the "Twinhead Stylebook 10D", under the brand of "Philips". Everything you need can be found here: "http://www.twinhead.com.tw/site2005/download.aspx " I had exactly the same problem after a hard disc format, and I was searching for many hours for the solution. After I installed these drivers, ALL the devices are working perfectly!
It is possibile, but FROM personal experience it is NOT RECOMMENDED as you will run into other problems. My recommendation is OPTIMISE Vista and make sure you install the latest service pack on it. This will solve a whole lot of issues for you which you presently have with Vista.
