I have a pioneer 2din deck and it sounds bad. it sounds like the speakers are blown and makes a crackling sound. I have replaced the speakers and it still sounds bad. I don't even have a amp

Make sure the positive and negative wires for the speakers are correctly(not reversed) and securely attached to the mounted speakers and the speaker outlet wires on the deck

No sound from speakers after installation

despite your assurance on correct installation, I'll wager you have your speakers wired in reversed polarity, in direct opposition to diode based voltage spike filtration, hence no sound.

Speakers not working

Check the easy stuff first: make sure the volume is at a reasonable level and play sounds from multiple sources like pandora, youtube, a local mp3 etc to make sure issue is consistent.

Next make sure the one or more wires are plugged into the correct ports. Or at the very least the green wire is plugged into the green plug on the computer (unless they're USB speakers?).

You could always look at the sound settings of Windows and see (if your sound card has multiple plugs) if the plugs and assigned different functions (base speaker versus microphone/headphone etc.). Hope this helps!

No sound is coming out from my toshiba laptop. even external speakers are not working. is it a problem with the soundcard?

check first the driver you intalled the driver but maybe this is not his driver because sometime can installed any sound driver but not working be sure that driver you installed is correct or try to update then if not working also check then wire connection of speaker, then sound card.

Installing an aftermarket stereo, spliced the wires and have everything connected including the remote wire to the factory amp wire but still no sound.

There is no remote wire on these newer trucks....03 and up....u have to buy the harness....although i didnt....i have an 03 gmc sierra and just pulled the schematic and matched the wires. And there is no programming to do on an aftermarket stereo.....I work for GMC and we cant program aftermarket stereos......if u buy the right harness ...and its over $100 then everything should work just fine.....and this does not disarm ur alarm system either....mine still works fine....hope this helps

Installing 4 after market speakers in my Ford F-350. POS/NEG post

this is actually a quotation from a site on the net as i've wondered about it to

"Speaker wire has a mark or strip on one of the conductors this is to indicate polarity of the wire. When installing speakers to the output of an amplifier you need to observe the proper polarity. This is particularly important when installing a surround sound system with front and rear speakers. If the polarity is not followed then the results will be poor balance of sound and even cancellation of some frequencies."

Ihave a JVC G230 and there is no sound

you have one speaker that has a short, a good way to find it quick is turn radio off and on if any of them pop even the slightest that is where your problem is...if you dont hear a pop check that all wires are not touching a ground somewhere this send the unit into protection, just one speaker or wire will do this .it keeps the radio from burning up...
