Insignia Digital Picture Frame. I can't access the internal memory... why?...

Posted by on

The internal memory seems to be disabled. I also can't save pictures to the internal memory. It keeps saying the in-built memory is full. Yet, I have formatted the internal memory several times and shouldn't have any pictures loaded on...

    What's going on?

How can i recover phone memory from a dead phone ?

You will need to get help from Nokia Care if there has to be any chance as there is no external way to retrieve the internal phone memory unless it can be accessed by or rectifed.

How do i download the pics from phone to computer still this is not helping me

Hi,

Let me outline some of the ways you can do this;

1. If your phone has a memory card then copy the picture files from the memory card to the computer. You can do copying first the pics you have on your phone to the memory stick, get the memory stick out and insert into the memory card reader on your computer. You can access the memory card from your computer and copy out the files to your computer.

2. You can transfer pictures also via bluetooth, this is possible if your phone has a bluetooth on it. Locate your bluetooth on your phone and switch it on. Go to your picture folder and open the picture you intend sending. Click on Options > Send > Bluetooth. Make sure the bluetooth on the recieving device (Computer) is on.

3. Transfer the picture via USB and Infrared. Get the USB cable that came with phone and connect to the computer, it would auto start. This would allow you locate the pictures on the phones and copy straight to your PC.

Hope this would help.

Regards

I have a visor prism. Yesterday I fell in the swimming pool. My visor went in with me. It is not functioning now. How/where can I go to haqve my data retrieved, if possible? Can you respond ASAP,...

I'm not familiar with your PDA but it has a USB connection that may give you (raw) access to the internal memory. Connect the unit to a PC (should work with a Mac too) and see if the system recognizes the internal memory. If it does, you should be able to copy the memory contents to disk in some form but even then, it may not be something you can easily use.
I did find some info on it here:

SmartParts SP1100B 11'' picture frame won't turn on

sounds like there was a power serge.  One of the suggestions would be to make sure you use the "safely Remove Hardware" tab on the tool bar.  The USB cable actually has power that goes through the line and can damage the flash memory in the picture frame.
your one hope would be to try another USB cable.

Vivitar digital photo frame VDF7

Select the folder you wish to show. Press enter to show the first slide then press enter again to bring up a tool strip.

Select the picture of slides to auto show the folder. You can adjust the speed in the tool box setting.

Browser problems

You might want to check how you are managing your phone's memore, you might not be using your SD correctly, let me tell you what you need to do:
1. Go to Settings.
2. Select Phone Settings.
3.Scroll down and select Memory manager.
4.Scroll down and select Primary storage settings.
5.Select External memory, so that everithing you do on your phone uses the external memory space rather than the phone's own memory.
That way you will have access to more sites, i would also powercycle the phone and see if you have the correct WAP configurations as Access points, your service provider might be able to help you with that by sending you an OTA.
