Question about Acer TravelMate 2300 Notebook
HELP! My Acer Travelmate 2300 previously had a faulty power socket, the male pin inside came loose when charging and sparked. the laptop remained on and i took out the AC cable
after a while the laptop used all the batterys power and died. after that i brought a brand new power socket and soldered it on.
now that ive soldered the new socket on, the laptop STILL wont turn on. it shows that power is running through the system because an amber light shows when the battery is plugged in, when it is charging.
but it wont turn on when i press the power button.
has anyone got any suggestions..?
You might of fried the whole motherboard when it sparked. Check if there is a fuse. Bridge the gap, and it should turn on. If not PULL THE PLUG.its something else that went wrong. If you don't, it smells really bad. Ive learn't from experience...
