I can log into my email account, but it defaults off the screen almost immediately. I get a message page that reads -- INTERNET EXPLORER cannot display the webpage -- All other internet connections sem to be fine.

1. Click Tools.
2. Click Internet Options.
3. Click the Security tab.

I got the answer from another web site. I tried it and it solved the problem.

Click tools in your yahoo home page >then select "Internet options" > click on "security" tab > click on "Restricted Sites" > , type in the following two sites.

Maybe you can work around this problem by using Windows Live Mail, it lets you access all of your email addresses on one page, Also when you set it up, you just have to enter the email address and it automatically sets up the rest, works pretty good.
Not sure about the website thing though.
