Hi rodamo, thanks for answering. I'm a bit of a novice at this, does that mean if I get a new DVD burner it will fix the problem or not. I was having trouble with my old DVD burner, or is a ROM reader something different. Sorry to sound so stupid. Cheers jojo555

if it,s only downloaded movies, that won,t burn/Write.
I,d assume that the downloaded content, is Copyright Protected.
Other suggestions Are:- your CD/DVD Burner does not support the types of files, that are being downloaded. You could try a Video Converter Program. Or alternatively. Change your DVD Burning Software.
I Have A : HL-DT-ST- DVD-RAM GSA-H22N DVD Burner That Works Fine With (CD Burning/ Reading) & (Data Burning/ Reading) But I Have A Very WIERD Problem With The DVD : Here I Go, When I Use Any Program To Burn DVD Like Nero, DVD Shrink Etc.. (It Appears That) The Movie Is Burning Well, Because In The Burning Process It Doesn't Says Something Like:Bad Disc, Not Succefully Burned Or Any Sign That The DVD Burner Is Damaged , Also When It Finish Recording You Can See The Data Burned In The Disc By The Lines It Forms BUT !! I Don't Know WHY The Fu$%@@ , When You Test The Movie In Any DVD Player , Comp OR Whatever THE MOVIE DOESN'T WORK.
Some pc DVD players will only play films from a certain region.
It could also be the video codecs? Search for the all codec packs on the net as sometimes a film wont play unless its got the right codec.
Also some companies dont like people to play films on their computer as they can be ripped to hard drive etc.
Three answers that could the the cause of your problems, sorry i coudlan't be more help :-(
