Double Horse 9053 Volitation Gyro cuts out

Most likely a fault with the PCB circuit board and needs replacing. Also check the motors and rotors are running freely as this could also cause the PCB to trip off.

Kind regards, julian.

Model ghw9150pw the code comes up as code f 11

Hi, I've had that same problem. The problem is the CCU circuit board inside at the top, back of the machine. There are cold solder joints on the circuit board where the relays and spade connectors are supposed to be soldered to the underside of the board (poor quality control at Whirlpool) You'll need to remove the circuit board and have the spots touched-up. The inputs to the circuitboard housing are keyed but it's still best to tag which wire goes where. You will break a few tabs on the housing when you take it apart (poor plastic choice by Whirlpool) It's best to remove the entire assembly then take the board out when your at the table cursing Whirlpool. If your up for the task great! if not, just print out this response and have a service person do it or take out the whole assembly and let a good appliance repair shop do it, it's up to you. This repair will also take care of an FdL code. Once the board is out the repair takes about 15 minutes. After completing mine the machine hasn't missed a beat in two years. Good Luck

This is a simple fix, in fact, you can fix it for under a dollar if you've already got a soldering iron.

You need to unscrew the panel underneath your glovebox and then unscrew the blower motor mount/controller. Once it's unscrewed, take the controller circuitboard off. You'll see a thermistor on one end that needs to be replaced. You just solder a new resister (1ohm) to the other side of the board between the two solder points where it comes through the board for the original thermistor. If you're up for the work or know someone that can do it for you, let me know and I can write a tutorial and walk you through it. It's a simple fix and only takes about 20 minutes or so to do.

If you'd rather not do the work yourself, the part from honda is about $150.00. (US)

You can reach me at or just reply to this post.

I have a double horse 9083 and i cant seem to control it i have adjusted the tail rotor and still nothing.

Hi, Does the tail motor run freely (nothing wrapped around the motor shaft) if so have you adjusted the potentiometer on the circuit board. If niether of these work I would say you have a faulty circuit board.

Regards, Julian.
