Let me start by saying that there are alot supossed or claim to fix fixes for this on the internet. I've tried them all, and the only two fixes for this are replacing the motherboard or replacing the malfunctioning chip on the motherboard that has caused this. The simplest, easiest, and most of the time cheapest sure way to fix this is to replace the motherboard. The other way is to track down the failed chip and have a new on soldiered to the board. Most people can't do this on their own, and if you can find a shop that will do it, they will charge in the hundreds of dollars. There are several A21 motherboards on Ebay for lees than $50, most have the base that is intact, so all you will have to do is swap out the drives, screen, memory, covers, keyboard, and screen. Then tou're up and running again. Here's a couple of links to help. The first is Ebay's A21 motherboard listings, and the second is various manuals for the A21 to help you swap everything out. Doing it yourself isn't that hard and will save you quite a bit of money.

You obviously didn't read the problem carefully. The machine won't boot, so there is no command line. I have the same problem with a T23. It might be the CMOS battery that needs to be replaced.

Post problem

If it beeps (which it should) means that some device did not pass post. Find your motherboard online and look up the beep codes. This should help you to discover the problem. I hope this helps!

This problem you may not be able to fix. There are a couple of things you can try.
1st Keep on rebooting your laptop until this error goes away.
2nd Replace the BIOS battery, it maybe nearly worn out. After replacement you need to go into the BIOS setting to set the Date & Time.

Ibm t22 thinkpad laptop error 0175 crc1

Ok hm...

Sounds expensive, I'm afraid!

Here is IBM'smag-glass_10x10.gif explanation of the error codes.

What your machine is telling you is that a chip on your Motherboard is faulty and the only way to repair it is a new system board.

It is probably worth finding out how much IBM would charge you to repair it but I very much doubt you'd get much change from £500.

There are a couple of possibilities, go to this link for the solutions, but it could be a bad power supply http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/31761/
