Purchased nec tv sets from a motel hotel auction. two of them i can only get two channels on, i am not sure if those two are uhf or vhf. i can see at the back that they were connected differently to the other sets as there is part of lead connected away from the normal din or plugs normally used. is this a pay tv connection or in house and how can i change it back to normal domestic use? any advice gratefully accepted. kevin burns

Re: firstly i do not have a projection tv problem
I've searched everywhere for any info in regards to your TVs but nothing comes up. It appears that those monitors or TVs were somehow just modified to work with the motel setup. You can try to use them with an external tuner such as a VCR to tune the channels to send the video signal to the TV.
What other type of connectors dod you have at the back?
Is there a way you can post a picture of the back of your TV?

Press and hold Set until the green light on Tune In blinks once, pauses and then blinks twice. Now release the Set key.
Enter the first three-digit TV code for your NEC from the list which follows: 030, 056, 019 These codes are listed in order of popularity, and the green light will blink twice if you perform this procedure correctly.
Aim Tune In at your TV and press Power. Your TV should turn off. If it does not, repeat steps 2-5, trying each code listed in step 4 until you find the one that operates your TV.
Now Test Your TVWhy test? Many times more than one code appears to work. Testing is desirable to be sure you have the correct code for your TV or the other devices you are setting up.
Press the Power key to turn on the TV, then press mute, channel scan ("CH") and volume ("VOL") keys. Tune channels 7 and 11 by entering the number followed by the Enter key.
If your TV does not pass the test, return to Step 2 at the top of this page. Enter the next three-digit code and repeat the process.
