Make sure it has a good battery. If that isn't the problem it could just have a weak signal.

If you are sure the battery is good you have a bad keypad. The signal strength is so weak it will not penetrate the door.

It sounds like your logic board has gone bad. The logic board contains the receiver that gets the signal from the remotes.

If you reset your code by pressing the smart/learn button and then keying in your code and pressing enter and it still doesn't work it has just quit on you. Make sure if you replace it you get the same model number.

LIFTMASTER OPENERS HAVE A SQUARE BUTTON ON THE BACK PANEL. PUSH THE BUTTON ONCE AND PUNCH IN THE CODE YOU WANT ON THE KEYPAD - YOU ONLY HAVE 20 SECONDS - THE NEXT TIME YOU PRESS ENTER IT SHOULD OPEN/CLOSE THE DOOR

On the garage opener that actually opens the door the one on the ceilling has a green or orange button that is called the learn button just press and release it you have 30 seconds to punch in a 4 digit code and when your done press and hold the enter button until the lights on the garage open blink once or twice then just press the code again and it will open the door press enter once to reverse the effect and and twice to stop the door completely.

It sounds like this remote has lost its program! you will have to reprogram it!I hope this helps ya!

check that both codes (in the remote & garage door opener) are the same. Press reset on the opener and reset enter the code.
