Hi Frances,
hope you are well and safe, Please have a look at the given solution.

To turn Distiller on or off, press the "Start/Stop" button. When turning Distiller on, "On" appears in the display window and the "On" (red) light illuminates (fig. B). After turning Distiller off, the "On" light turns off.

Brown steam

Brown steam is normally associated with internal rust in the iron. descaling may help clean it up. To descale make a solution of 3 parts distilled water to one part white vinegar, about a teacup full and pour into the irons water reservoir. Switch the iron on and set it on to the highest steam setting. Place a clean tea towel or similar on the ironing board and steam-clean it with the iron for a few minutes. The vinegar/distilled water solution will break down and expel the limescale. Turn off the iron (unplug). Pour out the water and vinegar solution. Pour clean distilled water into the iron reservoir and steam-clean a new clean cloth for a few minutes. this will remove any risidual vinegar etc. Turn off and unplug the iron and pour out the remaining water.

I have WaterWise 8800 since 2004, and now when I start it up - it keeps shutting itself off. Tried to clean out dust through the slots at top of machine where fan is. Still not work. What's wrong?...

Have you used Kleenwise to remove scale from the boiler? YOu can call Waterwise and they have technicians that can help you. I have had my Waterwise 7000 for many years, and love it! It makes the BEST tasting water, no chemicals or biologicals in it. I keep my machine clean and when I have questions, I call the tech guys for help.

After first cup is brewed, it shuts itself off and

No solution but we are on our 5th replacement from Keurig. Everyone has done exactly the same thing. It worked fine for a few weeks, than started turning off after brewing a cup. Like the problem states, the only way we can get it to work is to turn off and wait 15 minutes or so, then try again. Keurig has been great in replacing our coffee makers, but I really like it to just work.

Multisync LCD 1700V turns on then screen goes blank and shuts off

Does the power light stay on? If so, you have an inverter problem. If the power light goes off, you have a power supply problem.

Cuisinart Coffeemaker Decalcification Process

Run 2 cups distilled white vinegar and 2 cups water through the system - brew it like it was regular coffee. Then run plain water through the coffemaker to rinse the vinegar out and make sure the decalcification was successful. Repeat as needed. Don't forget to remove the charcoal water filters first.
