Sometimes I had a HDD error at the bios when i tried to power on, but i tried 3 or 4 times power off and power on and at last it works. but it works for 15 ro 30 minutes. Finally I bought a new disk because I think the disk was wrong.and I installed the winxp whit formatting the newdisk. I think it would solve the problem but again it works for 15 - 30 minutes. I thougth perhaps it was a ide driver problem but i installed the drivers from the manufacturers download page. nothing solve my problem. I tried to change memory it has not solve the problem, i don t know what to do. thank for your attention.!

u are lucky that ur hdd is getting detecting
try to find out if all cables are properly attached, that in bios both IDE channels are set active and ide(hard/drive detection) is set to auto. Exit saving changes. reboot and wait if in boot-up screen hdd is shown. Now you have made sure the hdd is being recognized from the hardware side.
Boot up windows and check if it is listed in the explorer. IF yes, youre lucky. if not, run hardware detecton and wait for results. IS it now? if yes goto properties, tools and check disk thoroughly. back-up data, format it(long version!). check again. (Now any invalid or broken clusters are marked) Hope this solved the issue!
Fijate en esta página que tenes los drivers de las PCCHIPS viejitas. Tenés además, que controlar que el jumper JP3 que habilita la placa de red. Jumper JP3: Enable/Disable Onboard LANUse this 3-pin jumper to enable or disable the onboard network adapter. Function Jumper Setting Enable Onboard LAN Short Pins 1-2 Disable Onboard LAN Short Pins 2-3
on your original HDD set your jumper to the closest to the IDE ribbon connection and your new HDD set it next to the closest (that will mark your new HDD as a slave). then reset your bios and resume what you were doing.
