Question about Pioneer SD-P55A5K 55" Rear Projection Television

Pioneer SD-P55A5 shut off during use and wont advance past standby mode

I was watching a program today and the screen went black and reverted back to standby mode (The light on the display went from green back to red).  If I turn the power completely off and back on, it briefly (less than a second) flashes green, and then back to red.  What should I do?  Thanks for your help!

Im afraid you are heading to somehow circuit problem, while you still have time and the warranty is still valid i suggest you send this back to the seller for a quick diagnostic, before its too late,

there is a problem with the power supply at this time, either by quickly repairing, or immediate replacement

This is a problem related to the hue controlls in the TV. It is quite common.

Fix: You can go into the TV settings and try adjusting the hue/tint there.

If adjusting settings does not work, request help from a technician to fix it for you since it will take adjusting the hue internally and if you do not do it correctly it can damage your television.

I hope this helps ya!

Won't load the operating system

try booting into safe mode, and uninstall the program

to do this: right before the windows xp logo shows, rapidly hit F8 on the keyboard, you should get a screen that shows the advanced startup options, after you see this, use the arrow keys to select 'Safe Mode' and hit enter, the computer should boot successfully and you can uninstall the program.

NOTE: if you hit F8 too late, perform a cold-reboot (hold down the power button until the computer is off and then turn back on) and try again

I have a Pioneer Plasma 434PE and was watching tv when the picture went purple with grain line and then made the screen go blank and now stuck in standby mode flashing red, power comes on but goes back to...

its likely that eith er the y sus or x sus pcb have gone faulty or it could be the main or power supply pcb. if all else fails, check voltages and if they are ok from each point , you need to replace the plasma panel.
