What kind of screen? And how is it broken?
If it's for a desktop, you should just buy a new monitor.
If it's on a laptop, you have a bigger problem.

    Oh the portable mp3 players.

    Sorry to say, no.

My daughter had one and found it was more expensive to replace the screen (if you can find one) then it was to replace the entire unit.

You can find these at places like, or or

Internal Battery? You mean the CMOS battery (silver battery about the size of a nickel that is on the motherboard)?

Never heard of any dependencies of the CMOS Battery and the screen. Are you talking about a laptop? On a laptop you would have to take the screen off in some cases to get to the CMOS battery on it's motherboard. So, if you're talking laptop, then either the LCD Cable to the screen is not in good, the LCD Inverter cables (sits under the screen and has 2 cables in it, one from the screen and one from the the motherboard) is not in good. Remove the cables and plug them back in. Put a piece of tape across where the cable plugs meet on the back of the LCD Screen. One other possibility is you might have broken the lcd cable or mishandled the lcd screen and it is going bad.

first check the wall socket, plug in a lamp or something
the transformer/power-supply unit may have failed(no little light) but since this is first connection to a different point there may be a popped breaker or fuse on the wall socket

How do I replace the screen on my averatec 3200?

I visit a site frequently calle It's an amazing site that shows common people how to do simple and complex things. I found a DIY on how to replace a notebook's LCD screen

I also found a couple of prices for your the LCD screen. The first one is an ebay auction that actually gives you instructions, too. What's good about this one is that it gives you it specifically for your notebook.

I hope this helps,

Broken Elo Monitor Screen

Touch screens are even more expensive that straight LCD panels. This repair may cost more than the original monitor. Why do you need another panel? Is the panel cracked or is the touch screen portion not working correctly?
