My PIU Cube 16 Olimpia Splendid portable air conditioner is displaying an error message f1, can anyone solve what this means? Thanks

    Thanks Mick. I'd cleaned the filter and machine was still showing F1 but after following your instructions all Ok. Thx heaps

It means 'Dirty Filter' once cleaned you must press and hold down the 'On' button for 5 seconds and the message will remove.

    This post has been helpful to me. Just to add some comment that may help others as well. The Trouble Shooting page says Alarm Signal "Fi" notice not F1 but it says ... The filter is dirty... But on page 13 The Electrical System Diagram says F1 relates to Compressor thermal cut-out which sounds like a big elecrical faulty. Actually both are related. I do not know if "Fi" in page 15 of Manual means "F1" , a typo error? A potential buyer pointed the difference, This post helped me to fix the error mssage after cleaning the filter. ie. Press and hold dwon "on" button for 5 sec. Cheers.

    Hey there pull the front cover off and check the main fan it gets stuck sometimes or has something stuck in there that stops it from spinning which will bring a 8 error

We had the same problem, but with the Piu12 portable. Cleaned the filter, and tried to hold the on/off button on the remote. No go. Use the on/off button on the actual machine. Ours beeped when we pushed the button, and beeped again after we held it. Then restarted and the f1 error message disappeared. Yay!

What is the meaning of an F1 error?
What kind of contractor is he? Go to the supplier that the contractor purchased the system from. Or the MFG website, or email their customer service. I'd let them know what kind of contractors are installing their equipment.

I had this error after my son had stuffed tissues into the output vents. The tubular fan behind the vents could not rotate.

I carefully picked out the tissues with tweezers (including those that were only reachable by manual rotation of the fan with a pencil). Turning off at the wall and on again cleared the error and the fan blew out the remaining tissue.

Turn the unit off and check if the water in the bottom of the back is being expended properly otherwise it will fill up and you need do drain it by tilting the unit backwards. It worked for me and fixed the problem.

In our case this error means that the grandkids have jammed jigsaw puzzle pieces in the main blower at the front. The manual says to return to service centre for repair. If you've got a philips head screwdriver, you can fix it yourself. First REMOVE POWER CORD FROM WALL. Remove back cover, undo 7 phillips head screws, note the bottom 2 are longer for assembly. Remove front cover by undoing 3 screws on each side. Be careful with fine ribbon cable you can unplug it at the connector on the unit. Remove whatever has jammed the main blower, in our case it was jigsaw puzzle pieces, that could not be seen when the unit was assembled. Replace front cover, don't forget the ribbon cable. The front cover sort of goes back on from the bottom front first, and is snug over the top. Replace back cover, (remove dust from internal radiator fins first). Leave turned off for an hour or so if you had the unit upside down to remove blockage. Boom you just saved yourself a couple of hundred bucks probably.

E2 error code on Haier cprd12xh7 portable air conditioner
Hi! You need to check pump filter. It could be jammed with a coin or hair clip. Now take the machine outside and empty it then lay it on its side and you can access the pump. Take it off, stand up the machine and pour hot water into the soap draw and check water should run out of bottom freely taking any fluff or bits with it. Now take apart the pump and clean it and dry all components before re-assembly. If the machine still doesn?t work then you need to replace the pump.
