Kawaski jetski 2001 130 ultra

We had bought a kawaski jet ski 2001, 130 ultra and it had no manual. Can you tell me if it is a 2 or 4 cycle? It is a 3 cylinder, but I am not for sure what cycle and if there are any special ways I should treat it, like certain oil or anything. thank you Joe Ludwig

It is a 3cylinder 2 stroke motor. Just use 2 stoke oil. Also when done riding hook up fresh water hose and flush. also spray motor down with wd-40. Just a nice thick coat after every ride. It does WONDERS>

Kawasaki jet ski starter motor removal

To get access to the starter you will probably have to lift the motor out of the machine. Most Kawaski hulls do not give you much room to work. When you take the exhaust off you may have enough room to unbolt the starter.

Jetski losses drive sometimes, engine revs high

There is every chance you have sucked up something into the jet intake.Move the ski back on the trailer without unhooking the front winch.(so it wont fall on to you).Get a torch and look up into the jet intake.Something will be up in there. An old ski rope, plastic bags,a big clump of weed. What its doing is letting the impeller/propeller cavitate with a heap of air and disturbing the water flow.Hope this helps
