This has happened possibly due to a failed firmware update the dell desktop utility downloads and installs them automatically, you would have to reflash or restore the phone to a earlier firmware or reflash the current one, this should be done automatically by the dell program and you can possibly do it yourself from there, if not, and please take my advice seriously as I'm not some random idiot from the internet.
if you can't flash the firmware with the dell program that should do it automatically, you would have to call att if they sold you the phone and get service for the phone. 'repair service'
You are MOST DEFINITELY IN WARRANTY, and att will need to fix this for you.

This is usually as a result of a corrupt OS(Android) this corruption could be as a result of operating files being deleted or a virus infection in the phone. If you remove the battery for a few minutes and replace and the problem persists then you will need a new OS installed on the device.
You can get this done at any phone repair shop as they usually have the specific software and hardware which is required to install the new OS. But be warned that all information previously stored on the phone will be wiped of for good. Any memory cards in the unit should be removed before the procedure.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Hi, the problem you are having is with the firmware stored on the phone, the chances are at some point you have either picked up a virus from a download or a picture message or music someone has sent you or it could just be that the phone has crashed and needs resetting.
now to reflash the firmware you have to take it into a phone shop and they will then reset the phone and reinstall the operating system but doing this will erase anything stored on the phone so if your going to do this ask the shop if they can back everything up for you, or if you have the data cable that connects it to your computer then plug it in and back everything up as once the firmware has been reflashed it will give you a brand new phone with nothing on it.
their is no other way around this problem it is going to be a case of getting the firmware re-flashed this can only be done at a phone shop and they will charge you for this service, how ever the cheapest place to have this done is one of those small independent phone shop and these will also be able to get it done a lot quicker as they do it in the store but the big branded shops have to send your phone off to get this done and it will take a couple of weeks to get your phone back plus they charge you extra for doing this.
let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Welcome to Fixya
Sounds like the software/firmware hang-up on you. Try to clear the electrostatic charge of the board. Take out the battery and make sure that the adapter is not plugged in. Press and hold the power button for 10 secs. Put the battery back in then turn on the phone.
Thank you for using Fixya!
