Re: my red s off in my pictre causing ghostng
You will need to replace both convergence ICs they are both STK392-120 and you will also need about four 6.8 ohm 1watt resistors as well. You can get replacement ICs and resistors at the following link and they provide free instalation instructions with pictures so you can do the repair yourself. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/

green is fixed so you have to move red and blue to green.
by using the remote you may find a simple converge function and open this and using arrow keys move the blue or red first to center of screen, repeat for other color you should see the lines moving toward a a white center point.
if the lines do not move with remote try manual ...menu on the set. if still no movement you have a problem on the convergence board and need a tech to fix.
A service manual will explain complex convergence to the detail .
but this might take hours to get it right.
You're using YPbPr (Red/Green/Blue Component) cables, right? Make sure you've got them in the right inputs and that the cables are FIRMLY attached. (Sometimes they seem attached even when there's a half-inch or so of space still)
maybe on your remote press menu and find converence and use the keys to move the red first over the green then move the blue over the yellow ..by standing back and just using the remote....should end up with white lines.
and dont hit that button again once set.
a tech should do this quickly and charge you minium.
sounds like a power supply7 problem such as a power regulator is bad or maybe the Horizonbtal deflection cu8rcuity is defective. sounds like something if you ask me? should be taken care of by the pros??? Im sorry not being able to assist you better but these sets have hundreds of volts nin them and shoulnt be played with by an unauthoized service company.. Good Luck
