Maybe you have the "yellow light of dead" You should let it repair, your console is broken.
try putting it in recovery modeHow to Access Playstation Recovery Menu
1. Turn off Playstation®3. 2. Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again. 3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps 4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button. 5. You will be promted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button 6. The Recovery menu will pop up.
if you turn it on, and it goes green then yellow then beeps 3 times and flashes red, then your ps3 has overheated and been damaged. you can fix it with the heat gun trick, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_Ic1_TY-GU
but it will only break again.
try flipping the switch in the back, then hold the eject button while you flip the switch back on, that should eject the disc.
turn off your ps3 to then just press and hold the eject untill the disc comes out as for the ylod you need to replace thermal paste on the gpu and cpu goto llamas.com to see tutorials and try pulling hard drive out and resetting it back in place
Unfortunately, you are going to need to have your PS3 serviced by Sony. To eject your game, flip the power switch on the back of the PS3 to off. Then press and hold the eject button and turn the switch back to on again. This should eject the disc. Best of luck with the repair.
i have the same problem but to make matters worse mine wont even turn on now but a bunch of people say you have to take it to sony or i dont know if this works but a bunch of people say is does try turning it on or off (i dont know which one) and press the eject and front power button at the same time hope this works tell me if it does
You can try the steps below. Its from PlayStation Forum:
1.
Turn off Playstation®3. 2. Hold the power button down; the system
will turn on and turn off once again. 3. Once the System has been
shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps 4.
When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button. 5. You will
be prompted to plug in your controller via USB and then hit the PS
button 6. The Recovery menu will pop up.
The current Recovery
Menu supports: • Restart System: Restarts the PLAYSTATION®3 System. •
Restore Default Settings: Reset all system settings back to default. •
Restore File System: Checks for corrupt/missing system files. •
Rebuild Database: Rebuilds the OS for the PLAYSTATION®3. • Restore
PS3 System: Fresh restore; Deletes everything and starts from Scratch. •
System Update: Update the PLAYSTATION®3 System
If the above
steps still does not solve the problem, then I think will have to update
your Ps3.
Update your PS3 (in the settings menu the 1st option).
Go
on the internet browser on the PS3 then go on the menu press triangle
then on one of them there are delete cookies and the delete the others
as well as cookies.
You could also try this as well: put the PS3
on then press the eject button (with no disc in) then hold it and switch
the PS3 off at the back with your finger on the eject button still
holding it, then put it back on and the fan test should be working this
may cool it down. It might be over heating.
If after trying the
above options and it still does not solve the problem, then maybe the
lens is weak and that's why it cannot read any disc.
But if your
problem is not still solved, then maybe you should call sony for further
assistance.
Have you tried a hard reset? I dont remember if the system has to be on or off for this to work but you can try it both ways. When the system is off (or on) hold you finger on the power button until it beeps twice, this changes the system back to default settings. Another possibility is that being you have a disc stuck in the system it is probably off from the mount track and the system is shutting down so it doesnt cause damage to your disc or the unit its self. If you cant eject the disc normally you may have to remove the disc manually by taking the cover off the unit. (I wouldnt attempt this if your system has a warranty because taking the system appart WILL void the warranty)
i get same problem, this should work:
turn the main switch off at the back, then hold the eject button then turn on the switch while still holding the eject button. fan should go at max speed then it should die down after 20 secs.
didnt work for me but it should for you.
