Hello.
I was wondering if your wireless controllers still work? If so then you need to make sure you enter the correct code that came with your bluetooth device. Other then that, I would say your Bluetooth board may be bad if nothing works correctly. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Since I have never heard of this I have done some more research on the subject. If any other items in your house are bluetooth enabled in your house is powered on, the PS3 will pick that up sometimes. So make sure all Bluetooth items in your house (including cell phones) are turned off while setting up your headset. Try this!!

    1) Make sure your headset is charged

    2) Make sure it is OFF. This means there will be no blinking LED light. To turn it ON, hold for one second (like the manual says), it will do a long blink once, then intermittent short flashes to let you know it is on. To turn it OFF, hold for five seconds. It will do another long blink, then it is off and won't flash anymore.

    3) Once it is OFF, hold the button for five seconds. This is the only time you turn it ON by pressing for FIVE seconds. The light will then go solid blue (like the manual says), and stay on, not blinking. You are now in discovery mode.

    4) Now when you do Scan under the headset part of the menu, you should see the name of your headset. If there is anything else listed there, ignore it- that's probably just a cellphone or something else you have lying around in the house.

    5) Select your headset and you are good to go.

NOTE: you may have to enter a code that came in the headset instructions.

I hope this helps!! Good luck to you!!

I try to connect my Bluetooth PS3 Headset and the error code 80010009 keeps showing up and won't let connect and talk online.

Just a question do you have it paired with a cell phone as well? If you do when you turn it on it may be pairing with the phone first and not with the playstation this happened to me and I could not figure it out for 5 minutes.

Ok,Delete the mic from your console and then connect the mic to your console using the charging cable. Open up the door on the top of the mic. It will register everything automatically.

Also you can delete the Bluetooth device what is on your list then turn off your ps3 turn it back on and then register your device again...

Hope it helped..

Trying to set my bluetooth ear piece up. have scanned and found the ear piece, but dont no the pass code they r asking for. can you help?

hi there,
the passcode you are looking for should be in the user manual that came with your headset. If you do not have the user manual, you can try "0000" as this is often the default passcode for a lot of bluetooth devices. If "0000" don't work and you get an error code like this "80010009" this error code means you have entered the wrong passcode. So if you don't have your user manual and "0000" dont work, the next best thing to do is try to get the code from the manufacturers website or by ringing them. Hope this helps.

Hey im getting ps3 code 80010009 When i try and connect my bluetooth headset...What do i do?

4) Now when you do Scan under the headset part of the menu, you should see something like the name of your headset. If there is anything else listed there, ignore it- that's probably just a cellphone or something else you have lying around in the house.

5) Select the headset and you are good to go.\

Also, the other common causes include that the headset could be paired with another device like a phone so the ps3 is not able to connect to it.
Lastly, if it has a usb port, you can connect your usb to it and then to the ps3. After that, go over the whole process again and it should work perfectly.
Hope this helped you? Please comment for more information

Controlers wont sync with console.

Flip the controller over, and press the reset button. It's to the right of the middle-top screw . You'll need something like a paperclip, toothpick, or something similar to push the button. Once you've reset your controller, connect it to your PS3 with a handy USB cable, and press the PS button (just like you did when you first got the controller). Now, it is paired again, and you should be OK.

I've read that not allowing the controller to die will help prevent this, so try and keep your controller charged

If that doesn't work, another issue might be your cell phone and bluetooth headset (especially if you have the headset also connected to your PS3). Try turning off the headset, or if you use the headset on your PS3 as well as your phone, turn off your phone's bluetooth adapter.

Error 80010009 with a brand new moterolla (I looked it up before i bought it, it is playstation compatible) I get this error code after i enter my registration code (0000)

After calling the Motorola company i discovered it is not a problem with the ps3 rather is was the headset. Error 80010009 occurs when there is connectivity problems. My bluetooth was simply a dud that had close to no connectivity. Motorola simply sent me a new one in exchange for the broken one. The new one was even a newer version and it took less then a minute to sync it with my ps3. Now when ever my ps3 is on and i turn my bluetooth on it automatically connects and works great! If this doesn't seem to be the case check out some of the solutions others have posted because you problem might have been mine or might have been theirs! Hope this helps!
