Roland sp-540v will not print even though the print head moves back and forth as though it is printing. This just started today. Yesterday it worked just fine.

I had the same problem you have ink blockage or the heads are dried out just get some of the old ink and soak each head you might have to do it a few times and also it could be your pump read your manual how to clean heads

I have a sp54v, the media came off the rollers in the back and jammed. I fixed the jam and turned the machine back on but when it gets past the processing message on the led screen, the inks indicators start flashing off and on. This has never happened to me before

If your sp540 presents bad printing with mixed colours, try to replace
the wipers, after a while of using the printer they become bad.

Did you get any ink spill in the print board. usually will blow the fuses on the main board and requires a tech to replace them
or someone that is into electronics.
if absolutely no ink comes out this is the probable cause

Have you changed the printing properties? or maybe you are actually running out of ink, pls try to print of each one color as a first step in diagnostics from there we can find out which one is really failing, remember there were 4 colors, M, C, Y K

I have a roland sp-540v, trying to print on banner material with black backing. Keeps on getting message to setup sheet while everything is loaded correct. The sensor is probably not picking up black.

Could you try
(1) Temporarily stick a white strip over the sensor where it detects the media or
(2) On the length of the media or
(3) Even staple same sized white media below the black one which you can un-staple after printing.
kindly ignore if these are (s) tupid answers

Roland 540v while printing I get vertical lines of color how do I fix it

The print heads are clogged. Try doing a print head cleaning. If that doesn't work try it again. If it still doesn't work then you need to change the ink cartrage.

Good luck,

Marty

Roland Versacamm sp540v is not printing yellow or magenta. What could be causing this? We were out of town and it wasn't used for a few weeks.

your print head dry out, cause is: no use! you should detach the tube between the pump and the caps, the one of magenta and yellow, insert a seringe in the tube (that comes from the cap) and suck some cc´s of ink, .then atatch the tube again and run one or two powerful cleanings, then run the test. A smart advise is: never turn off the machine in the main power, the machine when in stand by, does automatic a check and a cleaning process from time to time if needed.

hi have had the same problem, you need to clean the data strip that is connected to the main cutting head .its a clear looking plastic strip between 2 other strips you can't pull it all the way out so be careful. just wipe it with a clean cloth you will see black soot like powder come off it, as soon as you do this it should be back to normal, repeat weekly and you should be ok.
