Its not like the new console which use a laser and have disc's those ones break down alot faster too because they have moving parts.

No picture

Well I had heard of the metal piece of the back of a super NES console round piece breaking off because it becomes loose over time periods or it can rust and then fall off. So to fix this problem you need to find another super NES console and swap the parts, if you find a broken SNES console with working internal parts you are able to switch the parts into the other one that you have and buy a bypass plug from Radio Shack the Source or circut city to put it back toghter. But it would be more easy to buy a new console and sell this one as it is.

How do you hook up the super nintindo console to the tv?

Original-Style Super NES RF to TV Hookup

hook_sns_rftotv.gif Installation Steps:

  1. Locate the TV's VHF IN [ANT, CATV, or 75(ohm)] or Cable Connector.
  2. Disconnect the existing cable wire from the TV's VHF IN.
  3. Connect the short, thick wire from the RF Switch (labeled ANT) to your TV's VHF IN.
  4. Reconnect the existing cable wire (disconnected in step 2) to the silver post labeled ANT on the RF switch.
  5. Connect the thin wire of the RF Switch (labeled Control Deck) to the back of the Super NES (labled RF Out).
  6. On the back of the Super NES, set the 3/4 switch so that it matches the channel of the TV.
Note: The RF Switch does not produce stereo sound. To get stereo sound, connect your Control Deck to your TV or VCR using the Stereo Audio/Video Cable.
After the system is connected to the TV:
  1. Insert the Game Pak firmly into the Control Deck.
  2. Plug the controller(s) into the front of the Control Deck. Use the far left port for a one player game.
  3. Plug the AC Adapter into the back of the Control Deck. Plug the other end of the cord into a wall outlet.
  4. Slide the Power Switch to the On position.
  5. Turn on the TV and set it to the appropriate channel (3 or 4.)
  6. The game image should now be displayed on the TV screen. You are ready to play!
If after following these directions you are not able to view the game, try our Troubleshooting Tips.

CLEAN NES CONTROL DECK

Well to clean out the super NeS console you need to open it up with a 4.5mm bit tool and use compressed Air cans then to clean them out. Lukie games sells a 4.5 mm game bit tool.

My super NES console won't turn on at all 100%.

Well it might just be the fact that it might be dead now so you could buy a new one. If there is a small spark when its turned on its getting power but still not working then. I wears out from time to time because of age and useage. Well if you buy a new one maybe the old one will fix its self that has happened with me beofre then with my N64 console.

Well I think that the lockout chip might be causing the issue and there are web sites that show and tell you on how to do lockout chip removal for NES.
