Sending pic's & email on cell

I have a samsung SGH - a127. I'm not able too send pic's. I get a message that says: Check your WAP profile. I'm also not able to get on line. Could the problems be related??

  1. From the standby screen, press Menu.

  2. Select MEdia Net.

  3. Select Browser Profiles.

  4. To set MEdia Net as the default Browser Profile,
    highlight MEdia Net and press Options.

  5. Select Activate.

  6. With Browser Profiles highlighted, press Select.

  7. With MEdia Net highlighted press Options.

  8. Select Edit.

  9. Verify the following settings:

    • Profile Name: MEdia Net
    • Home URL: http://device.home
    • Proxy: Checked
    • IP Address: wireless.cingular.com

  10. Select Advanced Settings, and press the center navigation key.
    • APN: wap.cingular
    • Username: <leave blank>
    • Password: <leave blank>
  11. Save.
  12. Attempt to access MEdia Net.

Sending pic messages


you can go to your messages, select settings, select mms and configure your mobile phones multimedia profiles. once configure, try sending a photo on your own mobile number (creating an mms and sending it your own phone) once you received the mms, your phone is ready to send and received. you may want to configure the rest of the settings for mms for your own liking.

Have samsung b3310 but can't receive or send pics on ATT


Try these they worked for me & I have the same phone:

MMS settings:
Menu --> Messages --> Settings --> Multimedia Messages --> MMS Profiles --> Options --> Create --> Profile Name: AT&T MMS, Home URL: http://mmsc.cingular.com, check the box next to "proxy", IP Address: 66.209.11.32, Port: 80, Linger Time (sec): 90, leave DNS box unchecked, Bearer: GPRS then go to Advanced Settings --> APN: wap.cingular, Login ID: wap@cingulargprs.com, password: CINGULAR1 (case sensitive). Hit "save" twice, then "options" then "activate." This will activate your MMS so you can send and receive picture messages.

WAP settings:
Menu --> Internet --> Settings --> Browser Profiles --> Options --> Create --> Profile Name: WAP Profile, Home URL: http://device.home, Proxy: check box, IP Address: 66.209.11.32, Port: 8080, Linger time (sec): 90, leave DNS box unchecked, GPRS --> Advanced Settings --> APN: wap.cingular, Login ID: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM (case sensitive), Password: CINGULAR1 (also case sensitive). Hit "save" twice then "options" then "activate." This will allow you internet access.

How can I activate the internet in my samsung mobile

Thanks for using FixYa.

For you to be able to use internet on your phone. You first need to contact your mobile service provider and ask them to activate your phone's internet service. After this, they can easily send out the settings for your phone.. run the automatic settings setup message and viola! you should be able to get internet access. I hope this helps.

I bought UK unlocked Samsung SGH U 600 T Mobile


T-Mobile USA and T-Mobile UK use different WAP and MMS settings - you will probably discover that t-zones doesn't work on the phone either.

The simplest thing to do is go to the T-Mobile USA site and use the OTA configurator to send the correct settings for WAP and MMS to your phone.

Can you send a picture from your phone samsung sync to an email


Yes! its possible.Select that pic go to Options ,then to Send via Multimedia Message.In phone number tab instead of putting phone number change the text type to Alphabet and type your email address
Example:abcdxx@hotmail.com.

You'll get your pic on your email address.

Menu>Settings>Message Settings>Multimedia Message Profile>Profile 1

You can then change the profile name or keep it default at "profile 1"
Server Url: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Proxy: Enable

Version: 1.2

Then click on GPRS setting
IP Address: 66.209.11.32
Port: 8080
APN: wap.cingular
Login ID: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1

Then click save

Hypothetically....the settings should work the same for WAP
only thing is change to Server URL: http://device.home

Are you using the original carrier or is this an unlocked phone?
If the phoone is unlocked you will need DOTAC settings from your carrioer for it to work properly.
YOu also may want to check your connection to the mobile internet. Pic messages use your data connection to send, kinda like an email on the internet. You may need to contact your carrier to make sure that your data is set up correctly.

First thin to send MMS that it shud be activated and u have all setting from ur service provider, like apn, home url, ip address port number etc...after doing all just try to send first mms to ur own number...thanks
