Turn it off. Remove the filter . Clean the filter. When filter is out look to see if there is ice behind where the filter was. If so, let it melt. With the filter removed you should be able to at least see a little of the drain pan...which could be blocked up.If blocked, unblock it. When done, place filter back in unit, turn on, observe.

I'm assuming it is a window unit and not central air.

I hope you don't need anyone to tell you that it can't be pitched towards the inside of the house ;)

that would do it too.

you are missing some numbers after the JA and with the 8 in there I would say you are missing a 4. That would make it 10AJA4801 which would be a 10 SEER 4 ton

How too separate from cabinet?

Hi Friend, I am happy to help you!

I see that your question is listedunder Frigidaire air conditioner and that you are looking for information on how to separate your air conditioner from its cabinet. May I have your model number please? The serial tag, which lists your model number, is typically located behind the front grill by the air outlet or on the inside of the cabinet. Other possible locations of the tag on room air conditioners are on the front edge of the chassis base or behind the dial plate of the control panel. If you have a split air conditioner, try checking on either the front or outer appliance on the right side of the cabinet. Hopethis helps and I look forward to your response. Thank you! - Z

How to remove front cover of FAX050S7A

Good Morning Friend,

I understand you want to know how to remove the front cover of your Frigidaire air conditioner, model# FAX050S7A. Typically, this is not a do it yourself action, as there are no step by step instructions on how to remove the front cover. I suggest either contacting the manufacturer or your local authorized technician for further assistance. Hope this is helpful.

Will the condensation not draining from the km 18,500 air conditioner damage it?

Well it just Why not check the filter first and see to it that it is clean.. Then if you can be certain that eh unit is tilted to the outside about 1 inchor so. You can also look for a hose that drips theowter to the outside. some unit have them some don't. either way you will need to remove the unit form the case a little bit to access the drain pan area. UNPLUG IT FROM THE ELECTRICAL SOURSE get a few towels handy you might need them. As you pull the unit out you will see the coils which are right behine the filter you just checked . Under neath the coil you will see a little pan that goes around the coil . it will have water in it which is fine. to a point. If it has a hose you can now clean it out and perhaps run some hot wather and soap inot and down the hose to clean it out. If it does not have a hosethen you just clean out the pan and again be certian that the unit is tilted to the outside and your done. Push the unit back into the case and plug it back in.and start it up again. you should be happy with the result Hope this helps let me know Jon

Air conditioner freezing up after running about 2 hours

Take a moment to check the filter and be certain it is clean also check to be certain that the coil behind it is clean. You can deice it by using a hair dryer with the unit off it may be a bit messy but it the quickest way. Make ceratin that eh fresh air damper or outside air damper is closed or only open to a minimum position. close any rooms that are not in use. Then if it ices up again the things to check are the fan motor (indoor) it might be slowing down. Then its on to the amount of charge that the unit has. This of course will require a set of guages . You can search for leaks by looking for any signs of oil at any of the connections and or tubing leading to and from the compressor. If you spot oil then thats the area that is most likely leaking . It only needs to be a very slow leak. But it still a leak. You can take a bit of soapy wather and apply to the area and you MAY see bubble depending on the leak .. Ususally you do find it. If it is a leak be ceratin it is repaired before you recharge it again .. this willl of course require a service tech to complete the repair.. Hope this helps let me know Jon

The blower will not stop, the outside unit stops. It is cooling. Also I looked inside the air handler and there is water about 5 inches deep on each side below the blower itself

Look for a hose or PVC pipe that comes out of the unit If you can disconnect it you can then most likely get it to drain buy blowing a bit of air or wather up into it. . As to the indoor fan running . check your tstat and be certain it is in the auto mode and not the fan on mode.. Let me know if this help.. Oh yes it sounds as though the filter must have gotten dirty to see tht much water inside th unit. check your filters and repalce if needed .
