Computer wont read camera

I have plugged my camera through the usb coard and nothing works when I go into my computer to open my files. It always says I need to format. At one time I had all my files uploaded on a Mac. After I brought the camera home and it worked fine on my computer for some reason, but now it is this way again and I do not know what to do so I can transfer my files. Anything to make my computer read it

You need to install the drivers from the disk that was provided with the camera. If this doesn't work, please contact Christah@Jazzcameras.com

I cannot get my pictures to upload onto my computer...usb cable is plugged into camera and computer...but nothing happens

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Nikon Coolpix L22. The computer wire will not work. when i plug it in and put the camera on, it doesnt show anything about the pictures being uploaded. Nothing uploads, nothing happens. The USB cord is...

The camera will need to be plugged in and turned on for you to be able to transfer pictures from it.
Plugging the camera in will not make anything special happen on its own-- if you are using Windows (after the camera is plugged in, turned on, and with your memory card still in the camera), try opening "My Computer" and looking for the camera's icon within that window. The camera (and the photos on the memory card inside) will be shown just as any other CD or jump drive that you would plug into your computer. You can copy photos off of the camera by double clicking the camera's icon, (probably opening the DCIM folder) and dragging and dropping the image files onto some other location on your computer.

I have a vistaquest vq5115. i lost the coard adapter for my camera to the computer but my friend has a cable for her camera thats not the same as mine but the same adapter to the computer. I lost the disk...

As long as the cable ends match both the camera and the pc usb connection then the cable should work just fine. In fact there are universal usb cable kits available at most electronics stores. As to getting the pics from your camera to your computer... It depends on your operating system but most newer systems will read the camera as a portable media or a portable hard disk. So you would then be able to make the usb connections and then access the camera from your " My Computer" area assuming you have Windows.

Computer is not reading USB cable for digital camera

see many a times the drivers files are corrupted after a particular period of time due to loading of some other softwares or programs getting crosslinked with few necessary files.i would suggest you to uninstall the driver completely first then install it fresh again.its a common problem and will get solved after reloading fresh drivers again.thanks.

Computer wont reconice camera when i plug it in

Well, i'm guessing it's safe to assume that you are plugging it into a USB port on your computer. Most computers will have two or more of these ports on the computer. 1st, try using a different USB port. Make sure that when you connect your camera, that it is turned off. Once connected, turn your camera on. If nothing happens, turn it of but keep the camera connected and reboot your computer. Sometimes it will automatically read what you have stored on your camera. If none of that works for you, i'll look up some places that you could find software compatable with your Canon.
Let me know!

Plug unit in and open my computer, if it can read the unit it will show up as a removable disc, usually drive F:, copy and paste or click and drag music files into this drive to load your player. Good Luck Hope this helps.
