Question about GE WJSR4160DWW Top Load Washer
Just purchased WJSR4160DWW. Won't agitate or spin, getting power fills with water levels and temps. Any thoughts that aren't stripped gearboxes, fried pumps or motor meltdown?
Try slamming the lid a little bit to see if the safety switch is stuck or something. It is probably a child safety thing preventing agitation or spin to start. if the switch is not working properly, then the washer will "think" that the lid is still open. It is to prevent some small child that is unsupervised from falling in it and getting killed. Some machines will still agitate even with the lid up and some wont. There is a little small hole somewhere that has a little switch that the lid hits. That could be the problem. If not I don't know of anything else myself to do since im not an appliance man. Just hope that this helps.
